A traditional, family oriented Cantonese restaurant in To Kwa Wan. The Dragon Palace Restaurant is a local treasure. It is what the locals would call a good value, excellent quality restaurant. On the Thursday night we visited, the place was near full by 8:00pm. Known for their roasted pigeons and other roast meats, the restaurant did not disappoint. The pigeons were super juicy and succulent. The skin was crispy and had that smooth golden brown roasted appearance, a sign that the chef had taken care in its preparation, puffing the bird up before roasting to ensure crispiness.

The restaurant’s captain informed us that they had three winter melon soups available. He highly recommended it. We jumped at the chance and were glad we did, as a winter melon soup where the typical chicken broth and ingredients of seafood, chicken and pork are cooked using the winter melon as the vessel usually requires ordering at least a couple of days in advance. It was beautiful.

Aside from that we also ordered the pork ribs in a honey snd garlic sauce, along with tung choi vegetables in shrimp paste with fresh squid. Excellent and robust flavours.

Highly recommended. It’s not fine dining in an elegant atmosphere, but it is fine dining in the casual family manner....

SCONSIGLIO VIVAMENTE!

NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL! Our hotel told us that it was a good Cantonese restaurant. Upon arrival, the receptionist was really rude and she was already arguing with another guest. We wait quietly for our turn and, greeting without receiving any answer, we asked with great courtesy to be able to see a menu in English, since everything was written in Chinese and without prices, they answered us with a dry and rude NO. At that point, always saying goodbye and thanking with politeness anyway, we left. I would never go back there not even dragged...

Terrible service, not enough waitresses. Food was super oily and Luke warm, staff were very local and lots of frowning and shouting. Dirty plates piled high on the table, none plates were not changed, tea pots all empty for 30mins waiting for refill we did it ourselves and got told off.

The table, chairs, cutlery, bowls and cups all oily with food residue also chipped. Floor had dirty carpets and some kind of insect or rat trap on the corner of the wall, many dead flies inside.

We had 14 people and some.had to sit a foot away from the table.

The worse was the toilet, super super disgusting, poop on the floor, the seat, urine on the floor, the seat also..... Super compact, two cubicles and one urinal. If someone was washing their hands, everyone is trapped and can't leave the urinal or cubicle.

6 out of 14 people had diarrhea and some vomiting after the meal that night. Would...

Dragon Palace Restaurant in Kowloon, Hong Kong, is a culinary delight, especially for dim sum lovers. The dishes are super tasty, capturing the essence of traditional Hong Kong flavors. Its great location adds to the appeal, making it easily accessible. The prices are a bargain, offering fantastic value for such high-quality fare. Their traditional Hong Kong-style breakfasts are a must-try. The restaurant is also a superb place for elder people, offering a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Dragon Palace is truly a gem for authentic, delicious dim sum.
