We decide to have some desserts after dinner in Kowloon City. We go to 2 dessert shops nearby on Lung Kong Road 龍崗道and find that the prices are super expensive. For example, the most simple dessert 腐竹糖水is $41, is that crazy?! Therefore we decide to walk further, few blocks more, to 地茂館. We check at the big menu outside the shop and find the prices are reasonable and fair. Waiting time less is than 10 minutes. I tries the iconic and rare dessert 桑寄生蛋茶 $25 and my husband tries our favorite 補腎生磨合桃露 $27. Both are good and...

We had the (1) mango sago with glutinous rice balls and (2) almond tea with added “tong yuan” (glutinous rice balls filled with black sesame paste) The almond tea was quite grainy, as you can see in the photo, and you only get two tong yuan. I would say I have had better elsewhere. On the other hand, the mango sago was refreshing and tasty. Service was polite and efficient and they have an English menu if you cannot read chinese. I would come back to try some of the other...

If you like traditional "Chinese" desserts, this is the place. The shop offers an excellent range of desserts that is served either cold or hot. Among many things, the shop is particularly famous for its uses of almond, mango, black rice and red beans in desserts.

Please don't be deterred by the long queue outside the shop. It is normal and I can reassure you that the wait is not long. And even if it is, it is...
