Kowloon Tsai Park provides a large variety of recreational facilities, including kiosks, a lot of small rest areas, a public swimming pool (currently still under reconstruction), a race track, two football fields with artificial grass, a football field with natural grass, two basketball courts, two tennis courts, a Bauhinia Garden and some playgrounds for children. The main football field has running tracks and a spectator stand with bathroom facilities. The grandstand seats a grand total of 1,216 people. Next to it is the iconic Checkerboard Hill, which used to guide planes to Kai Tak Airport. The park is very big, about 12 hectares in total, so there are a lot of places for a morning jog, stroll, or hike with a nice and happy feeling after a tough day with trees and flowers surrounding while still in the centre of town. There is also a lot of places for picnics and outdoor activities on the large grassland while looking at the beautiful and spectacular landscape of the Lion Rock Mountain. Best of all, it’s completely free to enjoy, relax, or just inhale a patch of fresh air at the park. Therefore, I fully recommend going to Kowloon Tsai Park, whether it’s today, next week,...
Read moreBuilt in the centre of the city is the lush, green, sight for sore eyes, Kowloon Tsai Park. Right now! my most favourite place in Kowloon to visit. They have running tracks which has been built alongside a walking track. One can meander around the park instead of walking on the track. Lots of exercise gadgets for young and old. Roller skating rink and a Football field. You can sit on one of their many benches and listen to the chirping of the birds, look at the lion rock and watch the sun set. They have sections of greenery strewn all over the park where one can sit and wonder about life, meditate or do Yoga. I try to visit the park at least 4 times a week and when I do, I feel calm and relaxed. They have numerous entrances for people to enter and exit. Everyone comes to Kowloon Tsai park to exercise or to enjoy the beautiful expanse of flowers and greenery. If you have not visited this park, I urge...
Read moreAs a local nearby, this is probably one of my favourite place to go for a run. In most days, it’s not too crowded. Some places are very crowded of joggers but here not that bad.
I enjoy the fact that you can run both inside the running tracks (up till 6:30pm I think?) and also have a running route outside.
As of today (April 2025), the swimming pool is not completed yet. It used to be quite nice to go for a run then go for a quick dip/swim.
In terms of parking, there’s an open air car park inside Kowloon Tsai Park with limited space. Usually just outside Kowloon Tsai Park there are quite some metered parking spaces which is fairly easy to find parking spaces. Just you may need to walk a few mins...
