Beach BBQ King — Restaurant in Sai Kung District

Non existent customer service and terrible attitude. We were a group of 15 and the first problem occured on arrival when we were told that we had to pay in cash to enter. No other method of payment is accepted (you can come to your own conclusions as to why this is). I asked if we could at least enter the premises until one of us could get to an ATM, but we were denied entry and had to wait outside for 15 minutes.

I asked if we could pay for part of the group to enter. With the rest going in after the rest of the cash was collected. They said we could, but we would need to sit separately (even after everyone had paid), and they would make sure of that. At this point it was clear that they were getting enjoyment out of being diffiuclt.

After we finally entered the feeling around the place was negative and staff were very downbeat. Every request we had seemed to be met with a 'no'. We asked for a piece of cardboard to stabilise our wobbly table, and we were told to use a piece of coal (????!). Another example of terrible customer service was when one of our group asked to swap one of the warm cans of beer (which was bought from the premises) with a cold one from the fridge. Again, we were told it was not possible.

If you can put up with in-your-face apathy and negativity, then this place might be okay for you, otherwise stay well clear.

Food is mediocre but edible. 2 stars being given purely for the location.

Not too many food & drinks choices compared to other all you can eat BBQ places. Also the time stated is from 1pm to 10pm, but the food & drinks area will close at 9pm...it is not good at all! No more food for BBQ is ok, coz it needs time to BBQ the food, but no drinks after 9pm is definitely no good...besides, the covered area is not good too, coz if heavy rain, rain will leaks through some of the covered areas...then it may contaminate your food or wet your stuffs..Also, many stuffs need to pay extra, 1 paper plate & 1 plastic cup r provided only, if u drop them or got blown away by wind, u need to pay for a new one, even a small plastic mug for honey😬! So strange the answer given by the staff, he told me that 1 BBQ stove will get 1 mug only, no matter u r 1 people for 1 stove or 8 people 1 for stove, I almost wanted to tell him, then 12 of us want 1 stove each🙄🙄...is that really costs that much to give us 1 or 2 more mugs for the honey?...Imagine how inconvenience for so many of us to use just 1 small mug with the honey....My friend & I will definitely not to go to this so called "All you can eat" BBQ plac anymore! There are no other barbeque restaurants within 5km. This is the only choice if you want to have a barbecue.

The service and arrangement of entry were nonsense. We needed to buy the ticket by cash only. After 10s, gave the ticket to the staff and gave us back the entry coupon. After 10s, got back the entry coupon and asked us to enter the site.

As a crowded barbeque site, I am very dissatisfied that we cannot pay by credit card. Also, the entry procedures were duplicated, nonsense and not convenient.

The food was not ordinary. If you want to order seafood or other food or drinks, you need to pay extra. However, it charged 300 dollars per person.
