Recently had a delightful family lunch at M Square, a charming and relaxing restaurant at Sai Kung. From the moment we stepped inside, the warm ambiance and out of city atmosphere instantly provide a feeling of tranquility.
To start our meal, we ordered a variety of beverages to suit everyone's taste. The hot oat milk latte was a comforting choice, with its creamy texture and subtle nutty flavor. The espresso tonic provided a refreshing twist, combining the boldness of espresso with the effervescence of tonic water. Meanwhile, the Margarita cocktai aka mom's favorite, expertly crafted with just the right balance of tequila, lime, and a hint of sweetness and saltiness.
Moving on to the main course, we couldn't resist trying the Four Cheese Pizza. This heavenly creation featured a medley of burrata, gorgonzola, mozzarella, and mascarpone cheeses atop a perfectly crisp crust. Each bite was a harmonious blend of rich, creamy flavors that melted in our mouths, leaving us wanting more.
Iron-grilled rib eye was cooked to medium, the tender and succulent steak was accompanied by a medley of grilled vegetables, adding a burst of freshness to every bite.
To conclude our meal on a soothing note, we decided to savor the delicate aromas of jasmine flower tea. Served in a teapot, the fragrant brew offered a calming respite, allowing us to unwind and reflect on the wonderful moments shared...
Read moreNice restaurant and bar which does great cocktails and average expensive food. We ordered the Lobster Brioche Roll, marshmallow espresso martinis and Cajun Prawn fries. The espresso martini ($88) was great, if I was to be picky, the marshmallows could have been toasted a little longer (5/5). The Lobster brioche rolls was average for $198. It was dry brioche toast cut in half and the split to add a small amount of lobster claw meat. The amount of lobster was meniscal but it was in a delish seafood dressing. The salad was just lettuce with one small cherry tomato cut in half which was dressed with the smallest amount of vinaigrette (2/5). If they toasted the bread in butter, added more lobster and properly dressed the salad……it would have elevated everything and it would have been worth the price. The Cajun prawn fries were ok. The cooking of the fries were perfect, crispy and delish. The Cajun sauce wasn’t Cajun, more of a lemon semi-spicy sauce. Come here for the cocktails! Definitely not worth the...
Read moreI live 10 minutes' walk away from MSquare, which is part of the WM Hotel. There are shops for clothing and other (touristy) things available. However, when I go I pop down to the public bar and restaurant which is excellent, especially as it has a pool table. The food and service are really good, and the place is spotless. And as far as value for money is concerned, it is relatively inexpensive when compared to other hotels that offer anything comparable.
The main attraction is that Sai Kung doesn't have any other hotels nearby. Yes, there is a hotel 10 minutes' drive out of town (at Pak Sha Wan, The Pier I think it's called) but WM is within a brief stroll of Sai Kung. And the hotel being in the beautiful waters of Sai Kung, well, what's not to like.
Obviously, as I live a stones throw away, I've never stayed there. However, I have seen the rooms, and they are huge, and very well decorated and finished. All in all it's a great hotel in a beautiful spot. You...
