I recently had the opportunity to dine at Hung Kee Seafood Restaurant in Sai King, Hong Kong during the Chinese New Year celebrations. I must say, its always a memorable experience
First and foremost, the food at Hung Kee Seafood Restaurant is truly good. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor and made with the freshest ingredients.
One thing that struck me during my visit was the hospitable and exceptionally quick service. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy, the staff managed to attend to each customer promptly and with a smile. It was impressive to see how efficiently they handled the rush without compromising on the quality of service.
The variety of fresh seafood at Hung Kee is truly amazing. The live tanks filled with a wide selection of seafood were a sight to behold. It was a pleasure to witness the chefs carefully selecting the seafood for each dish, ensuring that only the freshest and finest ingredients were used. The display of the live tanks added an element of excitement and anticipation to the dining experience.
While the food and service at Hung Kee Seafood Restaurant were exceptional, I did find that the beer options were somewhat limited. As a lager fan, I would have liked to see a greater variety of beers available. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to consider expanding their beer selection to cater to different preferences and tastes.
Lastly, I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability of the dining experience at Hung Kee Seafood Restaurant. Given the quality of the food and service, I had expected the prices to be higher. However, the prices were reasonable and in line with the value provided. It was a pleasant surprise to find that dining at Hung Kee was not as pricey as I had initially thought.
Overall, my experience at Hung Kee Seafood Restaurant was nothing short of excellent. The combination of great food, hospitable service, and a vibrant atmosphere made it a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious seafood meal in Sai...

Read moreThe dinner set for 8 adults ($2936) is recommended. Manager claimed that free upgrade from Canadian lobsters to Western Australia lobsters. It’s true. Juicy & fresh enough. The deep fried Mantis Shrimps re fresh & crispy. Finger licking that they ‘re served in stirred fried pepper & garlic.
However, the crabs (Stewed cooked with ginger & spring onion)were not fresh, beer & coke ordered were not chilled enough especially when it was 33 degrees outside at 18:00!
8 adults were arranged to sit in 2 tables nearby due to the government’s COVID catering rule.
Surprise! Both waitress & the manager refused our request to serve all dishes in 2 separate plates! We’re rudely being invited to separate all 8 dishes in 2 plates ourselves!
OMG! WE had to liaise with the manager that it was our basic NEED of table service.
Are there any Seafood Restaurants in the world that customers are requested to separate all dinner dishes by YOURSELVES and 10% service charge...
