Ordered two all day breakfast sets (one with poached eggs, one with sunny side up), one salmon toasts set and two pastries ( chocolate mochi croissant and sausage roll).

The breakfast sets were good, everything was cooked nicely. It was quite early in the morning (~9 ish) so it wasn’t as busy as usual. The poached eggs didn’t have any salt on them apart from the Japanese seasoning, that would be the only criticism. Also, the eggs weren’t actually poached, they were just normal soft boiled eggs. That was a bit disappointing. Still, the quality of all the sets was better than their hung hom branch (where I normally go with my family).

We personally found the pastries very average despite the fact that they were baked in-house. The sausage roll was the better of the two. The chocolate croissant was a pure crunch. This might be because it is tailored to Hong Kong people’s liking. We are more on the side of authentic French croissants, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The single origin mocha and chocolate were ok, both were...

I don't know why I keep giving this place the benefit of the doubt when I'm let down each and every single time.

The service here is absolutely horrendous, given they have more than enough staff – seems they value quantity over quality.

Last visit, I had ordered coffee and originally wanted to take it away but changed my mind since I had some time to kill. I asked the waiter "May I sit here to have my coffee?" He simply shakes his head "no" and says they have a service charge. I said "well, I don't mind" and he says "Sorry, cannot." Why didn't he offer to add that service charge to my bill? Really strange so I just took my coffee to go.

This morning, I ordered a sausage roll. It took them 5 minutes+ to heat up a little pastry. Fine, no big deal. However, I noticed my sausage roll was sitting at the counter for a while. I took the sausage roll myself since no staff really noticed. Finally, a waiter saw me, stopped me and asked me if it was my order. I said yes and...

I ordered a flat white takeaway and the drink was too hot that burnt my tongue. I kindly raised it up to the staff and he grinches (!!!). How rude. Anyways, he did impolitely offered a substitute. BUT, worse comes next. The barista and that staff keeps small talking about me, making me feel uncomfortable. I decided to ignore. Then, I realised the barista didn’t rinse the milk jug that previously steamed dairy milk with the steam cleaner, using it directly to steam my oat milk next. Even worse, after I got my substitute flat white, it was at room temperature!! Obviously the NOC staffs are making fun of the customers. Providing poor service and attitude showing...

I like the coffee but went for an all day breakfast and wife had an eggs benedict with salmon. Eggs benedict came out so fast and could not have been freshly made in that time - eggs were a bit cold and smoked salmon was average. For the all day breakfast they asked how I would like my eggs and I asked for sunny side up - see pic and judge for yourself. Toasted bread was barely toasted. The bacon was just warm too….just seems like all precooked food to deal with a busy Saturday lunch. Would go back for coffee but not food.

NOC in Tseung Kwan O is a great spot to sit and chill — the space feels open and comfortable. A few of the two-seaters are designed like mini space pods, offering a surprising level of privacy, though getting in and out of them can be a bit tricky. This time, I tried something from their new menu: the ham and cheese sandwich topped with a perfectly runny sunny-side-up egg. The combination of gooey cheese and savoury ham was rich and satisfying — absolutely delicious.
