Paisano's Pizzeria Sai Kung — Restaurant in Sai Kung District

When I first ate Paisano's pizza in Sai Kung, I loved it. I was so happy to find a pizza that reminded me of home. That was about 3-4 years ago. If I had written a review then, I would have given 5*. Not now.

1. The quality of the pizzas has gone down. Why, I do not know, but their pizzas are not as tasty as before. The low-point came when about 6 weeks ago I ordered a Hawaiian and the base was unbelievably thin, to the point where the toppings were actually seeping through.

2. When it comes to fast food, we all expect quick, to-the-point service. I'm perfectly fine with that. But the youngish lady who works the till (I only see her on Saturdays when I usually order) needs to seriously brighten up. I appreciate that she may only be working there part-time or she's not happy serving pizza for a living, but a simple smile goes along way. The feeling I get whenever I order a pizza from her is that I'm not ordering it the way she wants or I'm taking too long. Regardless, if you aren't happy serving pizza and you are not being forced to work at Paisano's, why not go find something that will make you happier?

I gave 2 stars because I still order Paisano's pizza here and there (certainly not as frequently as I used to). But that's only because I haven't found a better pizza joint in the area and I guess depending on who's making the pizza, it turns out alright sometimes. As soon as I do find a better place, I will be happy to never eat Paisano's pizza again and the staff can be miserable serving...

We‘ve been eating pizza in the Sai Kung branch for like hundred times because it is close to our home, the size of pizzas are huge compare with any other pizza restaurants. Whenever dine in, my eyeballs were often attracted by the chef👨‍🍳 , throwing the pizza dough on the air to make it larger and larger. I’ve tried their calzone once, not bad but since then I just eat their pizza. The Godfather (HKD155) Almost all ingredients, Ham, Mild Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Onions, especially cheese, in one bite. I should’ve requested a thin crust cus this time it was sort of “too starchy”. Though I quite like the chewiness of the crust. I placed the take away order at 18:45 while my starving kids are waiting on the car. Till 19:10, they still not call my number (my number was 14 but they were preparing food for 28). I asked the staff the status and she was telling me I still have to wait for the kitchen food. At 19:20, kitchen was sending out order but that wasn’t mine. I asked again for the status, I saw the staff secretly printed my order and gave to kitchen. I asked again and finally they told me that they missed my order and I have to wait for another 15 minutes. That was totally ridiculous to let your customer wait for nearly 40 minutes for nothing. Finally I got the refund and went to McDonald instead. Leaving this message to warn somebody else, unless you want to waste your time to wait...
