We waited for Uchi Coffee in Tai Wai to open its doors at 11:30am as we were afraid of the long queue that would start forming on weekends. Sure enough, the small minimalistic coffee shop started to get pretty full after just a while, so maybe it’s a better idea to visit their other bigger branches instead.
The hojicha souffle was the main reason for our visit and it surely didn’t disappoint! The richer toasted taste of the hojicha ice cream on the side complemented the lighter and fluffy hojicha souffle well, and we gobbled up the whole thing in no time.
The salmon ochazuke came on a wooden tray with a small dish of wood ear mushrooms as an appetizer. The corn, seawood, salmon, katsuobushi (bonito flakes) and rice were soaked in a flavorful broth, effectively enhancing the simple ingredients. Although it was not super fulfilling, the portion was definitely reasonable to its price.
We added $20 for special beverages on the menu. The black sesame and tofu milkshake was a little too mild, although we could taste hints of sesame and even slurp up bits of slippery tofu.

Read moreUchi in Hong Kong is a cosy spot that blends Japanese-inspired flavours with a modern touch. My visit was memorable with three highlights that showed both skill and care in preparation.
The Braised Beef Cheeks Pice was rich and satisfying. The beef was slow-cooked until tender, soaking up the deep, savoury sauce with a hint of sweetness. Each bite paired perfectly with the soft rice on the side, creating a warm and comforting dish.
The Daifuku Matcha was delicate and well-balanced. The soft, stretchy mochi revealed a smooth matcha filling with a pleasant earthiness, balanced by the gentle sweetness of red bean paste. It was a simple yet refined dessert.
The Osmanthus Milk Cap Iced Tea was light and refreshing. The floral aroma of osmanthus blended with the creamy and slightly salty milk cap, creating a flavour contrast that kept each sip interesting.
Uchi delivers food and drinks with balance, flavour and thoughtful presentation. It is a great choice for anyone looking for hearty mains, elegant desserts and refreshing drinks in a...

𖠿𓈒𓏸 Lunch Set $88 + $8 配菜選了柚子醋冷蕃茄 估唔到蕃茄係原個上的😍 食落好重柚子既香味 微酸配埋蕃茄既甜味作為前菜實在最適合不過😚 主食既醬油蛋漢堡同樣出色 漢堡扒非常軟淋有肉汁🥩 配上醬油蛋令層次感更強✨ 不過味道偏鹹偏重 建議選擇飯類會有助解鹹🙈 需要加$8既明太子拌飯切記要拌勻先可食用‼️ 咁先可以突出明太子既鹹香、微辛同粒粒分明既珍珠米好夾 值得一試🍚 Pomelo vinegar tomato didn’t brush me off even as a side dish only😌 Serving with a whole tomato and giving a fresh aroma with a hints of sourness & sweetness from the tomato🍅 Hamburg was not bad too! It’s super duper tender & juicy🤤, and the soy sauce egg bought it to next level while it’s quite salty🥺 Better to pair with the rice especially the rich and spicy coe rice, the price here was worthy to try too🤎 評分: 9/10🌟
𖠿𓈒𓏸 Lunch Set $88 + $20 男朋友揀既手羽餃子都充滿驚喜🤩 一咬開有係滿滿既餡料而且有好多蔬菜🥬 唔會好肥膩👌🏻 一顆洋蔥豚肉煮算係比較健康既選擇 單食豚肉都有少少油脂感 但夾埋香甜既洋蔥真係平衡哂成個味道 加埋啲燒汁真係輕鬆清哂😋 鮭魚醬油湯茶泡飯算係最貴既一款 但呢廿蚊絕對值得比的😎 食落真係好香好清得黎又夠味 而且份量十足🥰 Selecting chicken wing dumpling to start the day really didn’t disappointed me😆 Meats & Vegetables stuffed chicken wings was filling but not heavy yet🍗 Onion Braised Pork definitely was the highlight of the day💫 Roasted onion was such a magical thing🧅, and sweetened-up garlic flavor to all the things & balanced the oily taste of the pork🔥 Extra charge of HKD20 for Salmon Soy Sauce Chazuke was really acceptable as it’s rich, fresh and divine🥳 The portion size was friendly too💛 評分: 10/10🌟
𖠿𓈒𓏸 Grapefruit Ice Tea + $18 西柚冰茶飲落幾香西柚味 都係好清新既類別 不過甜度頗高 減低返糖漿既份量會更出色🧡 The ice tea here suited my preference and made my day☀️ while diminishing the syrup portion would be more appetising🍊 評分: 8/10🌟 ————————————————————————————— 屋子咖啡 (大圍) 大圍積信街49號安信樓地下P號舖 #foodietiff黃店💛 #foodietiffhk #foodietiff大圍 #foodietiffcafe #foodietiff推介 #hongkong #hongkongtravel #hkcafe #hongkongcafe #hkfood #hongkongfood #hkfoodlover #foodaholichk #hkfoodie #hongkongfoodie #hongkongfoodblogger #uchicoffee #香港美食 #美食推介 #大圍美食 #大圍黃店 #大圍cafe #打卡餐廳 #打卡cafe #香港好去處 #다방 #홍콩...
