Cosy place playing 90s Mandopop, specializing in tea and tea-infused cuisine.

The Chai Pot Milk Tea is excellent, deeply fragrant and warming. As for the mains, the ochazuke with tofu was a bit lacking in flavour aside from the refreshing pickled vegetables offered as a side. The tea-smoked chicken, according to the boyfriend, was tender and delicious. Rounding up the meal is the grass jelly dessert which was perfect. Overall I would say the drinks and dessert outclass the savoury dishes this time.

One minor gripe: the female staff who was manning the cashier and taking orders looked so grumpy and standoffish as if our mere presence offended her, it was very unpleasant to be subjected to such attitude. Her unfriendliness was very much in contrast with the other two male staff who were welcoming and polite, we appreciate his introductions when serving the dessert and drinks, this is a sign of the restaurant taking pride in their work.

Would visit again for the to-die-for Chai...

This is a hidden gem in the city, small and not very noticeable. We took a while to find it. The interior design is retro and cozy, perfect for friends to gather and chat over tea.

Notably, their food is unique and fresh, a Fusion style that blends Shanghai and Western cuisine.

Tea, as expected, is the key feature here (there's a minimum spend, and each guest must order a drink), excelling in both quality and variety. They also sell tea-related products (like quality teapots), great place for tea lovers.

My personal favorite is the tea-smoked chicken with lotus leaf bun, reminiscent of Taiwanese gua bao. The portions are just right, so even the braised pork won't leave you too full. If you prefers bigger portion, I recommend pairing it with scallion oil pasta or quinoa kelp mushroom vegetable rice.

I love this place so much. They serve tea and tea-flavoured mains and desserts. The environment is very “zen” that you will feel very relaxed. I went there for a solo afternoon tea time to refresh myself. Oolong tea roll cake is moist and slightly sweet, but the tea flavour isn’t intense to my taste. The cream filling is smooth, creamy but still, the tea flavour isn’t strong as well. Perhaps it will be better to pair it with plain tea without milk. The Jacob cocoa milk tea is the best cocoa I’ve ever tried. Orange and chocolate go very well with each other. Strong and intense, feels like having a piece of Jacob chocolate. Comparatively, the tea flavour is much weaker. I am going to try the other milk tea soon. Worth a...
