Che Kung Miu, also called Che Kung Temple, are temples dedicated to Che Kung, who was a general during the Southern Song dynasty in imperial China. He is believed by some worshipers to have been involved in the attempt to keep the Song state alive by bringing Prince Ping and his brother to the South.

2. Spinning the Fan-Bladed Wheel of Fortune: A prominent feature in the temple is the fan-bladed wheel of fortune. Worshippers spin this wheel to influence their luck:
If the previous year was favorable, they spin the wheel clockwise to maintain their good fortune.
If the previous year was challenging, they spin it counterclockwise to dispel bad luck and invite better prospects.
3. Offering Incense and Prayers: Devotees light incense sticks and present them before the statue of Che Kung. During this time, they silently convey their personal wishes and prayers, seeking blessings for health, prosperity, and protection in the coming year.
4. Drawing Divination Lots (Kau Chim): Some visitors participate in the practice of drawing divination sticks to receive guidance for the year ahead. The messages on these sticks are interpreted to provide insights into one's fortune and advice on navigating future endeavors.

A. CHULASIRIA. CHULASIRI
วัดกังหัน : ขอพร ตำแหน่ง หน้าที่ การงาน และกิจการ
วิธีการไหว้เทวดาฟ้าดิน ขอให้เปิดทางให้การขอพรครั้งนี้ประสบความสำเร็จ
1. เตรียมธูปและเครื่องบูชาในวัด ประกอบด้วย ธูปสีแดง 3ดอก ธูปดอกเล็ก 1 กำและกระดาษเงินกระดาษทอง (ให้เขียนชื่อ – นามสกุลที่อยู่ลงไปในกระดาษด้วย)ราคาชุดไหว้มีตั้งแต่หลักสิบ หลักร้อย และหลักพันสามารถเลือกได้แล้วแต่กำลังทรัพย์ของแต่ละคน
2. เตรียมไหว้ด้วยการนำธูปให้เจ้าหน้าที่วัดช่วยจุดส่วนกระดาษเงินกระดาษทองที่ได้มานั้นให้เขียนชื่อ – นามสกุล ที่อยู่ลงไปเพื่อช่วยเสริมสิริมงคลและปัดเปาเรื่องร้ายออกไปจากชีวิตจากนั้นถือกำธูปและกระดาษเงินกระดาษทองไว้ในมือ โดยให้ธูปอยู่ด้านใน ส่วนกระดาษเงินกระดาษทองอยู่ด้านนอก
3. หันหน้าออกนอกวัด กล่าวแจ้งฟ้าดิน โดยบอกชื่อ - นามสกุล วันเดือนปีเกิด ที่อยู่และวัตถุประสงค์ที่มาทำบุญวัดนี้ ไหว้ 3 ครั้ง
แล้วหันกลับมาด้านในวัดไหว้ 3 ครั้ง
4. เจ้าหน้าที่นำไหว้จะช่วยกล่าวนำอธิษฐานเป็นภาษากวางตุ้งเมื่อจบประโยคอธิษฐานเจ้าหน้าที่จะกล่าวประโยคปิดท้ายว่า
"เฮงๆ รวย ๆ" สาธุ สาธุ สาธุ ให้พูดตามตัวยเสียงดังฟังขัด จากนั้นเจ้าหน้าที่จะให้ปักธูป
(ให้เรานำธูปไปปักที่กระถางธูปปักธูปกระถางละ 3 ดอก) เสร็จแล้วเดินออกมาทางที่ซื้อธูปจะเห็นศาลเจ้าที่เล็ก ๆ อยู่ทางขวามือ
วิธีการไหว้ขอพรเจ้าที่วัดขอให้เปิดทางให้
ศาลเจ้าที่เล็กๆ อยู่ทางขวามือ (หันหน้าออกจากวัด ลักษณะเหนือรตี้จูบ้านเรา)ให้ไปไหว้รายงานตัวกับเจ้าที่
“ข้าพเจ้าชื่อ – นามสกุล ที่อยู่มีความประสงค์จะมาขอพรท่านแชกงในสถานที่แห่งนี้ขอให้เจ้าที่จงเมตตาและอนุญาตให้ข้าพเจ้าได้ขอพรต่อท่านแชกงสำเร็จตามที่ตั้งใจไว้”จากนั้นปักธูปลงบนกระถางเจ้าที่ 3 ดอก
วิธีขอพรองค์แชกงหมิว
ยืนตรงหน้าองค์แชกงตั้งจิตอธิฐานอย่างตั้งใจ มีสมาธิมองที่หน้าท่านแล้วอธิฐานต่อท่านตามที่ได้เขียนไว้ในใบฮู้สีแดงพูดให้กระชับ เมื่อสมหวังแล้วหากมีโอกาสก็กลับมาไหว้ขอบคุณท่านอีกครั้ง
หลังจากไหว้เสร็จแล้วให้นำกระดาษเงินกระดาษทองไปไว้ในจุดที่เจ้าหน้าที่วัดจัดไว้เพื่อให้ทางวัดนำไปทำพิธีต่อ
จากนั้นให้ตั้งจิตอธิฐานแล้วใช้มือหมุนที่กังหัน 3 ครั้งในวิหาร รับพลัง และปัดเป่าสิ่งไม่ดี
หากชีวิตในปีที่ผ่านมา“ไม่ดี” ให้ใช้ “นิ้วชี้มือซ้าย”หมุนกังหันจาก “ซ้ายไปขวาหรือตามเข็มนาฬิกา”
แต่หากชีวิตในปีที่ผ่านมา“ดี” อยู่แล้วให้หมุนกังหันกลับจาก “ขวาไปซ้ายหรือทวนเข็มนาฬิกา”
และตีกลอง 3 ครั้งเพื่อเป็นสัญญาณบอกกล่าวเทวดาทุกชั้นฟ้าให้พรนั้นสัมฤทธิผล เสร็จขั้นตอนนี้แล้วเป็นอันเสร็จพิธี
สามารถถวายผลไม้ 5 ชนิด (ตามสะดวก)
กังหันมี 4 ใบ มีความหมายว่า :
O ใบที่ 1 : เดินทางปลอดภัย
O ใบที่ 2 : สุขภาพแข็งแรงอายุยืนยาว
O ใบที่ 3 : เงินทองไหลมาเทมา
O ใบที่ 4 : สมหวังทุกประการ
การบูชาเครื่องรางของท่านแชกง
สามารถนำมาทำพิธีเพื่อขอพรเพิ่มพลังได้ โดยนำเครื่องรางนั้นมาวนรอบด้านบนของกระถางธูป3 รอบ
ตามเข็มนาฬิกาแล้วหยิบผงธูปในกระถางโรงด้านบนของกังหันพร้อมกล่าว
“วันนี้วันที่เดือน ปี ข้าพเจ้า ชื่อ นามสกุล วันเดือนปีเกิด
มากราบสักการะและขอพรจากท่านแชกง
โปรดอำนวยพรให้กังหันนี้นำพาแต่สิ่งที่ดีๆ เข้ามา
ทั้งโชคลาภเงินทอง และความสำเร็จในธุรกิจ การงาน
ขอให้กังหันทั้ง4 ใบ นี้นำพาให้ข้าพเจ้าประสบแต่สิ่งที่ดี”
และการใส่เครื่องรางครั้งแรกให้เริ่มใส่ตามวันเกิดดังนี้
เกิดวันอาทิตย์ควรใส่ครั้งแรกในวันพฤหัสบดี
เกิดวันจันทร์ควรใส่ครั้งแรกในวันพุธกลางวัน
เกิดวันอังคารควรใส่ครั้งแรกในวันศุกร์

Che Kung Temple is a good temple visit in Sha Tin. There is a smaller old temple past the newer large complex which was designed in Japanese manner and style around 15 years ago. It is large and quite attractive.
The courtyard area is nice and there is a giant statue of Che Kung that is well worth seeing inside the temple building. If you don't mind maddening crowds, an interesting time to visit Che Kung Temple is during the annual Chinese New Year festival period, when 1000s of locals flock to the temple to worship, burn incense and pray for luck for the new year. This can be a memorable and enjoyable experience to watch as a visitor to Hong Kong.
Because the Che Kung Temple is not located that close to other major tourist attractions, we don't generally recommend seeing this attraction unless you plan to spend time in Sha Tin. If so, then it is a place worth visiting along with the 10,000 Buddha monastery also in Sha Tin.
Hint: It is best reached by taking the Che Kung MTR exit, just follow the signs for a short 3-4 minute walk.
