100 Century Avenue Bar — Restaurant in Shanghai

I can’t understand the positive reviews of the staff. I thought they were very aloof and didn’t actually know how to make a couple of basic cocktails like a Manhattan and Old Fashioned. We had to send the latter back, and it basically came back just watered down. The former wasn’t great, but I couldn’t be bothered sending that back too. For these prices, they really must get proper bar staff. Yes, view is great, though somewhat obstructed by how it’s constructed, and view tables must be reserved. We went up here after being at Flair. The view was astounding, nay, shocking. Sitting by the window did kick off some vertigo for me. One thing I wish we had done was come up there for lunch on a clear day to really see the city. Going up for late night drinks are pretty, but you can't see much more than lights outside of Pudong. My favorite splurge bar in Shanghai. The view at the downstairs bar is much better than the upstairs bar. Unfortunately, the downstairs bar only has a few seats and they tend to fill up fast.
