Dexing Hall — Restaurant in Shanghai

Extremely overrated. This was my most disappointed meal during my stay in shanghai. Am not certain what earned the michelin recommendatiom because we ordered everything from noodles, cold dishes, hot dishes, fish, meats etc. The best thing we ordered was the spring roll. Fish was overly battered and was soggy since it was in a sauce, xiaolong bao was better at a nearly small store, shrimps were frozen still, edamame was overcooked and not seasoned, drunken chicken was super tough, meatball was not seasoned well, noodles were just ok.

Very lousy food, taste terrible. Ordered xiaolongbao , the skin is so thick, hard and uncooked. Crab roe noodle is cold and so fishy. Told them the rain water leaked and dripped into our food and nobody bother to do anything. Could tell non of them in the kitchen are local Shanghainese and staffs chatting much louder than...

Place is legit. Came here for morning breakfast at 9am. You walk in, order from the front desk, pay, grab a receipt and sit at any table. Someone will come over and grab your receipt and bring you your order. My food came in less than 2 minutes. The Xiao Long Bao was tasty, so was the soup noodle. All in all...
