During our recent trip from Hong Kong to Shenzhen, we had the pleasure of discovering Tequila Coyotes, a vibrant Mexican restaurant that truly transports you to the heart of Mexico. From the moment we stepped inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for an authentic culinary adventure.
What made our visit even more special was meeting the owner, Neto. His genuine friendliness and hospitality made us feel like welcomed guests rather than just diners. Neto’s passion for his restaurant and his culture was evident, and he took the time to share stories behind the dishes, enhancing our dining experience.

But the real star? The food. This place elevates classic Mexican dishes into something truly special—elaborate in execution but deeply respectful of tradition. I had the best sopes of my life here: the masa base was golden and crisp, topped with layers of rich refried beans, tender shredded meat, and bright, house-made salsas that balanced every bite. And the ribeye tacos 🌮? Absolute perfection. The meat was seared to smoky, buttery tenderness, served on freshly pressed tortillas with just the right accompaniments—no overloading, just flawless harmony.
The service matches the quality—attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing real Mexican flavors.

Then came chicharrón in a spicy green salsa (my all-time favorite), freshly made and full of flavor, served with corn tortillas and black beans. To top it all off, we had crispy-on-the-outside, juicy-on-the-inside chicharrón bites on a bed of guacamole. And of course, no proper feast is complete without a refreshing agua de jamaica.
A meal like that truly feeds the soul. Can’t wait...
