La Piura - Comida Peruana — Restaurant in AMCO, Area Metropolitana Centro Occidente

We were usual clients and this was our favorite Peruvian restaurant in Pereira. A shame. The last two times we’ve been there were bad, to say the least.

On one there was part of a plastic bag floating in a soup, we thought it was fish and realized it was plastic after biting a bit (they apologized and exchanged the soup). This last time the usual ceviche I used to order had milk in it. I’m lactose intolerant and nowhere on the menu, does it say that the ceviche has milk or cream on it... I was told all the ceviches have that ingredient. I took a second look at the menu and since it wasn’t listed I asked to change it.

When the new ceviche returned it only had lemon, but seems they just used the same content submerged in milk, removed most of the liquid, and replaced it with lemon. As soon as we left the table I started a terrible stomachache and I was inflated like a ballon. I’m preparing for a procedure and find it completely irresponsible not to list all the ingredients that can create food allergies in a restaurant. If someone says they don’t eat something or they CAN’T eat something and you tell the client you’ll serve a new dish when that’s not the case, that's irresponsible.

The pricing has increased a lot and the food quality and service have not improved, in fact, both the food and service are worse. We didn’t even feel like taking a pic of the Arroz Chaufa, it looked so poor and small... After this second fiasco, we...

Please read entire post. We went to La Piura on a Thursday, food, service everything was great. We enjoyed it so much we made reservations the next day we invited my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and my brother-in-law to celebrate his birthday. When we called they said no problem. When we arrived they said they were all booked up and could not accommodate us. They offered us a table away from the restaurant in the back that did not appear to be set up for customers. When we declined they suggested another restaurant Sir Lion which we reluctantly accepted but was no where near the quality or service from Peira. They called and gave us a coupon for $100,000 pesos at a different restaurant 20 km away over 30 from Periera were we were staying. We will not be using the coupon needless to say. I was very disappointed in the way we were treated, In my books thats no way to treat customers.

Por favor lear todo! Fuemos un jueves todo estuvo buenesemo comida servisio. Que reservamos para el viernes con la suegra y cunado. Al llegar nos dicen que no hay cupe que esta todo ocupado. Nos ofrecieron una mesa a un lado del restuarante que no estaba para recibir clientes. Que verjuensa con mi suegra y cunado celebrando cumple anos. Nos recomendaron otro restuarante Sir Lion no compara nada. Nos mandaro un coupon de $100, 000 peso en cerritos no en periera. The whole experience was incredible ever since you walk through the door the attention and service is beyond expectations. And the food? Incredible! Everything was cooked to perfection, have tried multiple restaurants in Pereira but I might have to stay this is my favorite. The drinks were also amazing and well decorated even the experience of how they were brought out was awesome. I will definitely be back & definitely recommend...
