Some days ago I had the pleasure of dining at Storia D’Amore in Bogotá, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This restaurant perfectly captures the essence of authentic Italian cuisine, providing a memorable dining experience that stands out in the city.

Storia D’Amore boasts a beautiful and elegant setting that transports you straight to Italy. The décor is tastefully done with a cozy and romantic atmosphere, making it perfect for both intimate dinners and special celebrations. The soft lighting and tasteful music create a warm and inviting environment.

The menu is a delightful journey through Italian culinary traditions. We started with the burrata, which was creamy and paired beautifully with fresh tomatoes and basil. For the main course, I had the carpatio, and it was simply divine. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the truffle sauce was rich and flavorful. My partner opted for the ossobuco, which was tender and fell off the bone, served with a delicious saffron risotto.

The wine selection is extensive, featuring a great variety of Italian wines that perfectly complement the dishes. We ended our meal with the tiramisu, which was light, creamy, and the perfect balance of flavors.

The service at Storia D’Amore is top-notch. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. Our waiter was very helpful in recommending dishes and wine pairings, and the service was prompt without feeling rushed.

While Storia D’Amore is on the higher end in terms of pricing, the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the overall experience make it well worth it. It's an excellent choice for a special night out or celebrating a special occasion.

Storia D’Amore offers an authentic Italian dining experience that is hard to match. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and charming ambiance makes it a must-visit in Bogotá. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy Italian cuisine...

The Good The Bad And The Ugly Service friendly but poor. The tablewear was not setup but the food came and we had to wait to get some one to notice that we didn't have setup. The restaurant was not busy. Our first orders lomo carpaccio was wonderful and the burrata salad fantastic. A perfect bread basket and lovely tomato dipping sauce came with it. Our main courses Oso buco with pasta and two orders of Prosciutto Fettuccine table side. They started to bring the Oso Buco out to table but again no setup and they had not cleared the dishes off the table from the first courses My husband said please clear table and bring setup then main course. So waiter took Oso Buco back to kitchen counter to get cold no cleared our table for a while. Again restaurant was not busy. Finally it looked like Manager came by cleared table and a waiter brought setup then Oso Buco came. Then table side pasta was going to be made. By that time my husband's dinner was cold. Also his Oso Buco looked limp and gross. The waiter that was making the Prosciutto pasta used bacon instead I was so angry. I said why would you use bacon when the menu said Prosciutto? Then he gave me a plate of Prosciutto. I'm a Master Le Cordon Bleu Chef. I was really looking forward to coming to this restaurant all day to eat,and I was so disappointed. The prices on your website are different then the prices on your menu also the price of bacon is cheaper then Prosciutto so are you trying to cheat your customer? It started out good It went bad Then it got ugly Chef...

Whenever I come to Bogota, whether for business or family occasions, it's a must to come to Storia de Amore. Calle 122 . On most of my visits to this restaurant, I've had the privilege of being greeted by Carlos, the manager, who with his generous smile and unwavering hospitality, takes us to our table and makes sure that we are happy and attentive throughout the entire service experience. Our group of four had an absolutely magical evening at Storia D’Amore . We went with what I’d call the “trifecta” – the octopus. Burrata - carpaccio – and each dish was outstanding, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor. We order two steak, Bistecca & Bife Angosto Both dishes were nothing short of phenomenal , and perfectly cooked ,risotto mushrooms. And the vegetables selections. For dessert, the tiramisu was decadent, The atmosphere was lively yet elegant, and the staff could not have been more attentive and welcoming. They made the entire experience feel special from start to finish. Santiago was our server , he did a side table services with great charisma and a positive attitude. Alex , the Somelier helped us select the wine, which was a delicious Chardonnay, one of the best I've had in Bogota. Storia D’ Amore delivered on every level – food, service, and ambiance. We left already planning our next visit. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a truly memorable...

It is still one of my favorite restaurants in Bogotá. The first time, I just stumbled into this restaurant. I was thinking of Italian food, and wow, here for an early dinner. The waiter (Gabriel) had lots of time to mesmerize me with several dishes. He did an amazing job, for I didn't even look at the menu. The pasta allá Ghiotta is perfectly cooked, al dente, and the flavor is rich yet suttle at the same time. The pork cheeck in the tomato base sauce was nice and crispy. This is by far one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to. OMG, I JUST WANT TO KEEP ORDERING FOOD HERE. I just asked Gabriel for another recommendation for dessert, and I ordered the Coppa Amaretto, which has banana flambe, Carmel Amaretto sauce, and vanilla ice cream. It was a perfect ending to a great meal. I've been there 3 times now and had the lasagna, the eggplants, the stuffed flowers, the pasta with mushrooms, and it all has been super tasty and unique. I returned again and ordered the Raviolis with meat and mushrooms, and they were excellent, even though the sauce was a bit strong. 5* excellent 4* very good 3* good but not consistently 2* It's not worth it 1* Don't even think about it

Delicious food with great vibes. Reasonably priced for me because of the food selection, nice decor with pleasant ambiance. Came here twice and said to my husband that this restaurant can be our weekly go to place. The first time we came here was during my birthday. We were served by a friendly english speaking waiter that made our experience eating here unforgettable and that’s why we came back here for a second visit. However, during our second visit, we had a miscommunication with one of the waitress because she got our order wrong. When we tried to explain to her she refused to hear our explanation, pulled a face, turn her back abruptly and left our table. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ We don’t expect an apology from her because we understand it’s normal to get the order wrong sometimes but her attitude left us dumbfounded. Very unprofessional behaviour. I’d recommend their food and the ambiance, but due to our bad experience during our second visit, we will not be coming here in the near future.

TL;DR: Carpattio good, food uses way too much oil, so much in fact, you can just eat a shot of olive oil and call it a day. The ambiance was great! Carpattio was great! But the main course was unfortunately disappointing. As much the presentation looks phenomenal, the pasta was cooked with too much oil and/or butter. The amount of butter, oil or cream used on each pasta was way overpowering almost ruining the flavor. It was like drinking a shot of oil on every bite. I know the plates we ordered required those ingredients, but it was disappointing. One of our members was the only one to order salmon with their dish and was the only one who got Salmonella for a week. Pizza is actually good, recommended! But I hope they fix their pasta dishes.
