Some days ago I had the pleasure of dining at Storia D’Amore in Bogotá, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This restaurant perfectly captures the essence of authentic Italian cuisine, providing a memorable dining experience that stands out in the city.
Storia D’Amore boasts a beautiful and elegant setting that transports you straight to Italy. The décor is tastefully done with a cozy and romantic atmosphere, making it perfect for both intimate dinners and special celebrations. The soft lighting and tasteful music create a warm and inviting environment.
The menu is a delightful journey through Italian culinary traditions. We started with the burrata, which was creamy and paired beautifully with fresh tomatoes and basil. For the main course, I had the carpatio, and it was simply divine. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the truffle sauce was rich and flavorful. My partner opted for the ossobuco, which was tender and fell off the bone, served with a delicious saffron risotto.
The wine selection is extensive, featuring a great variety of Italian wines that perfectly complement the dishes. We ended our meal with the tiramisu, which was light, creamy, and the perfect balance of flavors.
The service at Storia D’Amore is top-notch. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. Our waiter was very helpful in recommending dishes and wine pairings, and the service was prompt without feeling rushed.
While Storia D’Amore is on the higher end in terms of pricing, the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the overall experience make it well worth it. It's an excellent choice for a special night out or celebrating a special occasion.
Storia D’Amore offers an authentic Italian dining experience that is hard to match. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and charming ambiance makes it a must-visit in Bogotá. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy Italian cuisine...
Read moreThe Good The Bad And The Ugly Service friendly but poor. The tablewear was not setup but the food came and we had to wait to get some one to notice that we didn't have setup. The restaurant was not busy. Our first orders lomo carpaccio was wonderful and the burrata salad fantastic. A perfect bread basket and lovely tomato dipping sauce came with it. Our main courses Oso buco with pasta and two orders of Prosciutto Fettuccine table side. They started to bring the Oso Buco out to table but again no setup and they had not cleared the dishes off the table from the first courses My husband said please clear table and bring setup then main course. So waiter took Oso Buco back to kitchen counter to get cold no cleared our table for a while. Again restaurant was not busy. Finally it looked like Manager came by cleared table and a waiter brought setup then Oso Buco came. Then table side pasta was going to be made. By that time my husband's dinner was cold. Also his Oso Buco looked limp and gross. The waiter that was making the Prosciutto pasta used bacon instead I was so angry. I said why would you use bacon when the menu said Prosciutto? Then he gave me a plate of Prosciutto. I'm a Master Le Cordon Bleu Chef. I was really looking forward to coming to this restaurant all day to eat,and I was so disappointed. The prices on your website are different then the prices on your menu also the price of bacon is cheaper then Prosciutto so are you trying to cheat your customer? It started out good It went bad Then it got ugly Chef...
