From the onset, service wasn't warm and welcoming. Not sure if it was a racist thing but another couple came in 15 minutes after us, and within minutes they had drinks and shortly after they had appetizers. Mean while we waited a while before anyone greeted us and it wasn't until after they got their appetizers we had to call on a waiter to get service so we could order our drinks. Terrible experience, this place claims to be traditional Peruvian food, not only are they rude for asking any questions about the menu, none of the food I ordered was even close to traditional Peruvian. I lived in Peru and even have family living over there currently. Anyone that eats here should be aware this is not real Peruvian cuisine. This was our second visit to Chiclayo Covina in Envigado’s famed Calle de la Buena Mesa and it was even better the second time around. We had the grilled salmon causa which was perfectly seasoned and grilled and also shared a bowl of ceviche de mariscos that was perfectly tangy with just the right amount of kick. The delicious meal was just the beginning, the service was truly the best part of our experience.
