I recently dined at El Trifásico in Medellín and had a mixed experience. The restaurant has a charming ambiance and offers a good range of traditional Colombian dishes.
The Good:
• The rice and beans were excellent, perfectly cooked with a great flavor. • The chicharrón was also a highlight, crispy and flavorful, exactly as it should be.
The Not-So-Good:

Read moreVery tradicional place. Great Bandeja Paisa and very well located en Envigado. If you're in Medellín it's worth a trip to eat there and enjoy the surroundings. The place is fairly simple, no intention of being sophisticated, just keeps it old-school - it's like the place your dad used to take you when you were a kid. There's no wifi no vallet parking no hostess. The prices are fair and the service is very friendly, you can tell the waiters know the customers and treat them on a first name basis. This place is totally worth leaving the...
