La Patateria — Restaurant in Manizales

Came here at night and it was packed! Fear not, they have a list to write down your name and mobile. Easy peasey, called me back in 10mins or so. Nice vibe, full of happy guests and staff. Easy and quick to place your order, I chose a craft brew to go with a classic burger and potato wedges. Beer was delicious, a golden ale from San Fermin, bottle was opened on the spot, a frozen glass provided as well. Burger didn't take too long and it didn't disappoint: fresh bun, tasty patty and fresh greens. Good chips too. House made salsa was perfect too.

Would have had dessert, but was too full!!...

There was a 20 minute wait for lunch at 12:30, and with good reason. The food was delicious and worth the wait. The "de mi tierra" over papas criollos was spectacular. The Don Fermin amber ale was one of the best craft beers I've had in Colombia. Apparently it is a popular place to celebrate birthdays and hearing the "Happy birthday to you" song every 10 minutes got tiresome which is why it did earn 5 stars...

Was kind of as accident we came to this place. We came 10 min after the opened, and good we came so early. Because it became packed super fast. So if you want to go, you should probably reserve a table.

The food was very good, and you get a big portion. So you will not leave the restaurant hungry. Definitely...
