Terribly disappointed, after hearing this was a gourmet fine dining restaurant. The restaurant was about a third full when we got there. The waitress just pointed across the room to a table we could sit. She was lazy and disinterested when she took our drink orders. Right away I noticed the music which was Disco Electronic at a volume totally too high for fine dining, it got really annoying and we couldn't even carry on a conversation. After about 30 minutes I realized our waitress was simply ignoring us so I called her back to take our food order, and asked her about our drinks, she said to wait. About an hour later our food arrived and I asked the server about our drinks and he left to go check on them. The drinks arrived about half way through our meal. The gin tonic I ordered was actually mixed with Ginger Beer, not tonic, and tasted terrible. I was discouraged by then so didn´t even send it back, I just abandoned it, the taste was horrible. The food was only so-so. What was supposed to be a steak with Pesto, was actually three chunks of meat on the plate with a basil leaf. The steak was so tough I had to ask for a sharpened knife, then it was still hard to cut and even harder to chew. Finally we gave up and paid the...
Read moreThe restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, and the menu is filled with delectable options that immediately caught our attention. Everyone at my table thoroughly enjoyed their meals, which were well-prepared and flavorful.
Unfortunately, my own experience was less positive due to food allergies. I was unable to eat because the restaurant was not accommodating when it came to substitutions. Something as simple as replacing a creamy corn side with a salad came with an extra charge, and the attitude toward these requests felt dismissive rather than understanding.
For diners without dietary restrictions, this place may be a wonderful option. However, for those with gluten, lactose, or FODMAP sensitivities, the lack of flexibility and support makes it a less desirable choice. A little more openness to reasonable substitutions would go a long way in making the restaurant welcoming...
Read moreAesthetics and service (thank you Carlos!) were SUPERIOR, but unfortunately, food was average. Burrata was served with an overabundance of sweet sauce, and desperately needed some bread or crackers to cut the sweetness. The octopus was drowning in creamy sauce which made it mushy and bland, and the steak was quite greasy. Their signature "melting white- chocolate dome" desert was served on a hard, room-temp cookie base, which would have been soooooooo much better with a softer texture, served warm. This is such an elegant "highly instagrammable" modern restaurant with tremendous potential, but the food did not live up to...
