⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hidden Gem – The Best Indian Food in San José!
I can’t believe this place isn’t packed every night—Tikka Masala is hands down the best Indian food we’ve had in Costa Rica! It’s a bit tricky to find (no signage—you have to exit the mall and walk down a small pathway), but trust me, it’s worth every step.
This husband-and-wife-run restaurant is the definition of a hidden gem. Their passion for food shines through in every bite, from the homemade paneer to the fresh, creamy raita made with their own yogurt. We started with the samosa trio, which were crisp, perfectly spiced, and even better with their house chutneys—don’t miss the pineapple chutney!
For mains, we had the Chicken Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer, and Awadhi Mutton Korma—all spectacular. The chicken tikka sauce had just the right texture with a bit of chunkiness that made it feel extra rich and authentic. The palak paneer was silky smooth, and the homemade paneer was unbelievably fresh and soft. But the mutton korma? Next-level. Deep, complex flavors, with tender, perfectly cooked lamb.

Read moreI am not one to leave a review but this place was amazing from start to finish! The vibe of the restaurant was so sophisticated and cute. The food and drinks were delicious and they even brought over some snacks and dips before our meal. My husband wanted to get the cheesecake for dessert, but sadly they were out. Instead they brought over their carrot pudding free of charge and it was the perfect end to our meal, so tasty! Our server was so sweet and attentive, to not only us, but I noticed how she went above and beyond for the other guests in the restaurant as well. You cannot go wrong with this place, I...
