“Paid 17,000 Colon (~$30) for what essentially was Guacamole and a side salad”
If I could give them a negative rating... I would.
We ordered vegetarian fajitas to-go... it took almost 40 minutes to make. It came with only 1 tortilla. The only vegetables in the fajitas was onions and bell peppers. The portion size was so small that it wasn't even enough food for one person to eat. Charged ~$3 for a slice of cheese that we didn't even want.
The Guacamole was in a small side container and came with a handful of chips... and they charged us ~$10... Complete Ripoff!
The manager on duty, Carla, was probably one of the most inconsiderate people I've dealt with at a restaurant. She said we had to pay because the food was prepared for us. She barely offered to give us the 10% discount we were supposed to get because we stayed at the Courtyard across the street. The Aztec soup was absolutely disgusting and had things in it that we could not identify and so dry that you couldn’t bite through it, tasted like old fryer oil, we think it was chicken but maybe they gave us chicken that was stuck at the bottom of the deep fryer or maybe it was weeks old, I don’t know, but we only ate the broth.
The tacos were like 7/11 taquitos drenched in tasteless salsa and they were cold.
This place should close down and I’m hoping people read this review and decide against eating here.
I’m hoping we don’t get sick from this disgusting...
Read moreI decided to eat there yesterday as I'm staying in the hotel across the street. I believe what I ordered was called tort and it consistet of a Mexican bread sandwich with barbecue coleslaw and fries on the side. Overall the food was very tasty, I will concur that it is a little pricey compared to other places that you can eat in Costa Rica, but you're very close to the airport and so you should expect to pay a little bit more. The reason for four stars instead of five it said I ordered a mojito and normally you muddle the leaves in this drink it was blended. It was a unique drink, but I wouldn't call it a mojito but...
