Would have never known about this place if our tour guide didn’t mention it to us. We were looking for a place to eat local cuisine and he mentioned ; go to a soda. So we checked on line for the closest one and found Esperanza. Its a small cozy and clean place. The food is amazing !!! Everything is tasty. The juices are so good. The owners don’t speak English that much but the menu is in English. They are really friendly. The food was so delicious that we took 2 more plates to go with 2 more juices and 2 empanadas for a grand total of 35$ US tip included.

The Best Soda in Costa Rica and I'm not kiding. After traveling around the country I got recommendations from other travel about this place wow spot on. This soda is so small have only 3 taibles just local people coming to eat. I can explain how great this place is the food is just delicious, service its 5 * price is good. I went there 2 evenings in the row since I was leaving I can't do more but if I can I will go there everyday. Amazing just fingers leaking good. Thank you for your hospitality.

Best Casado I’ve had in Costa Rica hands down. I wanted to get the pollo en salsa that others who reviewed got but they were out so I just got the beef, but it was still great. Flavorful and tender. Beans and pasta were also better than normal. Parking in front is all yellow which I read online is not allowed for parking, but no one seemed to mind. Server was also nice and language barrier wasn’t much of a problem.
