When traveling I try my best to make the focus of my adventures food, nature, and company (Yes in that order). This was my last night in Costa Rica before heading home to New York and I will say I was absolutely delighted with my last meal. Everything was fresh, delicious, and above all the service was exceptional. I had two glasses of white whine (I forget which though I remember they were from Spain), the tuna tartar, and the sea bass with lavender butter sauce and green beans. Both exceptional. The tuna was fresh and the addition of edamame bean added a nice texture. Not to mention the two different chips and sauces that allowed it to evolve. As for the sea bass, it was bright and rich without a single over baring flavor which isn’t always easy with lavender and butter. Wow just wow. We were in Guanacoste for 5 days and this is hands down the best meal and service we had for our whole trip. We went here on a Sunday night and had to return for our last meal when they reopened on Tuesday. The chef, used to be in the kitchen at the 4 seasons before starting at his restaurant. Best decision he has ever made. My wife and I have talked consistently about flying back the 6 hours just to have a meal here. Our waitress was phenomenal and attentive. Our favorites were the Penne with local Tenderloin, Flan, Chocolate Donut Pudding. The pudding may have been the best dessert I have ever had. This restaurant was a delightful surprise! From the moment I walked in, the service was impeccable – kind, efficient, and attentive. The staff clearly take pride in their work. Beyond the excellent service, the food was truly outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented, a feast for the eyes, and bursting with flavor. It's clear the chef prioritizes both quality and creativity. The restaurant's decor also deserves a mention.
