I wish I could give this place 10 stars, it’s amazing. We couldn’t stay away after our first visit and ended up revisiting 3 more times over a week we loved it so much. The number one thing to note is the staff - hands down one of the best staffs I’ve ever encountered a everyone seems like they truly enjoy working at Arenas Del Mar and most have worked there for several years. Over the 4 visits we interacted with Christian, Brian, Alex(andra), Wilton, Jorge, Neil, and Nelson - each one of them was awesome and we appreciated the genuine hospitality. The beach is beautiful and we were lucky enough to see monkeys, iguanas, a sloth, and baby turtles during our visits. Wilton was awesome and pointed the turtles out to us so we could see them before they scurried off! We tried a variety of menu items for lunch - the chicken wrap and side salad was super fresh and delicious, the fish ceviche was delicious, the club sandwich was delicious, and the patacones and shrimp quesadilla were also good! The beers were cold and the piña coladas were also great! Our servers were very attentive and always prompt and very friendly. We also had the pleasure of joining for the seafood dinner one evening and it was probably the best meal we’ve ever had - the ambiance was beautiful, the live music by Will Acuna was amazing, the service was fantastic, and the food was delicious! I can’t rave enough, it was all fantastic. Brian, who had helped us while enjoying the beach during the day was also our server and he was super personable, friendly, and very prompt and attentive. The dinner included an appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert. Everything was amazing. The sashimi appetizer was delicious and the salad was tasty and very light and fresh. The sauce on the mahi mahi was so delicious I’m still thinking about it. The shrimp was well cooked and the sauce on that was great as well. Both desserts, a white chocolate cake and a flan, were light and tasty. Such a great experience and we can’t wait to return! Thank you all for multiple amazing experiences!
Sight update: we've returned and brought friends and family with us another 2 times this year already and both experiences were great. Mainly updating the review with more food recommendations and pictures, ha. Tried the steak fajitas on one visit and the chicken tacos on another, both were great, but I especially loved the chicken tacos! One of the visits was for a girl's beach day for my wedding celebration and the ADM Playitas team was great keeping everyone happy! Every one of the girls asked how they could come back for another dreamy beach day!
One thing to note: there is now a $100 per person charge for a beach day if you are not staying at Arenas Del Mar - this goes towards your food and beverage, which you can arrive at easily over the course of a day eating and drinking. We had no problem hitting the $600 on one of our visits with friends! Chiliguaros and pina...
Read moreMy very first experience at this place was at the gate with the attendant. I asked if I could go , and he replied no since it's a private place. I asked him why it says "public" entrance. He said you either need a day pass or dinner. I then walked all the way around until I bumped into it again... not knowing it was the same place. In the place, the service was very nice and attendant. The surroundings are heaven on earth with the macaws, sloths and beach.
Unfortunately, the ceviche was not good. The fish was not fresh and it didn't have the tangy taste you'd expect. On the contrary, it was sweet and it had the distinctive taste of old fish.
The sangria didn't really have flavor either. Not much to say about it. Overall, one star off for the entrance bad experience and one star off for the over priced bad food.
Side note: the waitress did ask me what I thought about the ceviche. I didn't complain because I did eat it but not...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing experience at this beach front restaurant where you can eat as an outside guest and spend some time on a perfect dream type beach. Many animals around, the restaurant staff even came on the beach to tell us that a group of monkeys were down, two parrots just flew over us and there was a sloth in the tree just up to our table ! The restaurant itself is directly located on the beach, you have your toes in the sand and has many vegan / vegetarians options. Considering the luxury level of the hotel, the prices are really affordable. We paid 10 $ for a kid main course, and vegetarian main courses are between 12 and 22 $. The staff is super warm and friendly, they did eveything to make our meal and afternoon on the beach enjoyable. If you want to enjoy the equipment of the hotel, you can purchase a day pass. Highly recommended for an...
