Mirador Oceanview Restaurant — Restaurant in Quepos

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Our group of friends picked the restaurant for our last night in Quepos and it was truly disappointing. When we were seated, the restaurant was practically empty. We placed our order for drinks, which weren’t that great. After ordering apps and entrees, we waited for over an hour for our food. All the other tables around us were receiving their orders even though they had arrived after us. When the food finally did arrive everything was cold to the point that most of us couldn’t eat. One of the salads even had a small caterpillar, which is understandable with fresh produce. The tortellini dish had only 7 tortellini pieces. After leaving, our cab driver informed us that most of the people that stay at the resort leave to eat because the food is horrible!

A delightful spot to savor a top-notch meal. Our evening at this restaurant was a culinary journey that featured delectable fried cauliflower, a mouthwatering shrimp tamale, and a chef’s cut ribeye. Each dish had great flavor, demonstrating a refreshing and thoughtful approach.

The ambiance and service were equally impressive— the staff showcased great knowledge of the menu, offered insightful recommendations, and remained attentive throughout our dining experience. The overall value for money was reasonable, considering the picturesque setting, warm hospitality, and the consistently high quality of both the food and drinks.

I really want to give this place full stars based on the view and the staff however I would probably only be able to recommend this place for Cocktails and appetizers. My Manuel Antonio margarita was delicious! The Burrata salad and pre meal bread were top notch so I was so surprised when our main course was delivered. I had the catch of the day and it was so not a catch of the day. I eat in the area and have had perfectly fresh fish. This mahi was fishy and the preparation bland. My husband had the Caribbean chicken which had zero flavor. I would rate the meal equivalent to a Marriott resort meal which we are not fans of. Expensive pricing for below performance.
