Bar Chubbs — Restaurant in San Rafael

I was served a dish first time in the menu. I was disappointed by the chicharrones with guacamole as they were served as per picture. Guacamole was enough for a bite despite being highlighted in the menu. Chicharrones were not flesh (de carne) or skin (de pansada) but together in a single pork belly stake; I guess the owner/ chef didn’t do much local research. Yucas (casava) were cooked perfectly and helped to dimmed my dissatisfaction.

Gave feedback to American owner (as experienced Costa Rican eating chicharrones for more than 20 years) but he was more focused on explaining himself than taking notes. Dish wasn’t consumed fully but also not charged in the bill; although my goal was for owner to improve; not sure if feedback was well taken for improvement.

On an apart note; toilets were not clean; I guess the focus here was to sell alcohol more than an experience. Which ironically Imperial light were over after 8pm due to a reason owner explain I...

Good neighborhood sports bar that also serves food but we didnt eat anything. The guy across from us was chomping on a pretty stacked burger n he gave it a thumbs up. 4.5 stars is more appropriate. Even though I really like this place and 5 stars can be easily achieved, they lack waiters. But other than that they have great service, delicious food, from good salads to juicy burgers and chifrijo. Yum 😋 Perfect for groups and sports watching. Tons of TVs...
