I wanted to share my last foodie adventure. For father's day we to Pimento at the Hotel Intercontinental in Santa Ana.
The reservation process was easy as I used open table. I do have a tiny feedback about the table and is yhst it was placed right next to the linnen/dish cupboard to the point I had to svooch into the table for a waiter to be able to get out and pass with a cart. This could've been avoided had they Si ply moved the table a little closer to the window, there was plenty of space.
Anyhow into the food. Dad ordered the parmesano crusted Angus sirloin. This was exquisite and butter soft. I ordered the veil ossobucco with a pan seared saffron rissoto and wow the meat melted in your mouth and the contrast of the crispy rissoto was great. Finally my friend ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with ham and mushroom. This was for sure in house fresh pasta with a creamy sauce.
Dad had a nice glass of cabernet sauvignon and we had a Pineapple juice all great.
For dessert I had the traditional tiramisù in my opinion good but nothing to write home about and wouldn't order again. Linky had the cup of Italian Gelato with vanilla, chocolate another flavor I forget 😅. To finish off dad and Linky had a cup of grappa as a digestive.
Overall the food was great, service was great, put server Geraldine was excellent. I would say there was a little gap in between when we finished our meal and having to call someone else to get dessert, but nothing bad to know k any point out of the whole experience.
As for value:price I would say is on the high end
I would definitely recommend it and will return to try some of the other dishes. Locale; 💎💎💎💎 Service: 🤵🏻🤵🏻🤵🏻 🤵🏻 Food: 🍴🍴🍴🍴...
Read moreI came to the restaurant after reading amazing reviews about the servers on google and trip advisor. It was a dinner to celebrate my wifes bithday which I informed the restaurant when making the reservation.
The experience was trully subpar, the restaurant was beautiful without a doubt but the waiter Alonso was truly terrible. He seemed aggresive, bored, and was unattentive at best. Even getting water for the table took far too long.
The pasta was delicious but I could not convince myself to continue eating at such an expensive restaurant with that level of service.
I hope this is just a bad day but trully...
Read moreExtremely over rated restaurant. Costa Rica has much better Italian restaurants. We came here today for the opening night. Food was average. The calamari was cold and tasteless. The lobster appetizer was drenched in too much sauce and the puff pastry was not flaky. The main course fish was average and had no flavor. I had the spaghetti with clams in the white wine sauce and it was OK. The arugula salad was disgusting it was drenched in a lot of extreme sauces. The service was terrible. Disappointed and...
