Had the worst, most expensive experience here tonight. Paid $90 for a kids spaghetti, side of French fries, Caesar salad with salmon, two glasses of wine and a kids gelato.
The problem began when we walked into a mainly empty restaurant on a Sunday night. The hostess crammed my four year old daughter and myself into a tiny two person table when there were PLENTY of empty tables in the restaurant. I asked for a bigger table but she said, “this table is sufficient” and said “it’s not small” when I was squashed against the wall.
When our food came there wasn’t even enough room on the table for it, the wait staff was wonderful but never suggested we move to a bigger table.
I spoke to the manager at the end of the night and said look, this is an expensive restaurant (more than Beverly Hills) and the hostess wouldn’t give me a bigger table. At this point there was only one other party in the restaurant. He agreed that this was terrible service but only offered a bigger table “the next time” ... there’s not going to be a next time! The food wasn’t good enough to justify $20 for a salmon Caesar and the wine list was so small, your only choices are terrible wine for cheap or decent wine for major $.
We were constantly rushed through our courses, I actually had to say to the waiter that I eat my food slower than my daughter so they would give us space.
Any decent place in the US would take something off your bill or offer reparations in another way, but not this place.
I refused to pay the 10% “servicio” on the bill for all the employees and changed it to the tip only for the waiter, writing “I do not want to pay for bad service” on the bill.
Considering reporting this place to my credit card company because it was such an awful experience.
Avoid this place! There’s other good restaurants in the neighborhood, don’t pay their rent.

Read moreI think the people that haven't experienced food or don't understand it well tend to like Italian restaurants more than other cuisines. They also tend to mistake good food with being pretentious and think highly of a restaurant because it's pretentious. This place is a perfect example of a trap for these kind of people. Don't go here. The food is disappointing, it's overpriced, and the attention is not amazing. First, they gave us some bread, which was tough as a rock and bland. We asked for a risotto, it wasn't seasoned properly and it was overcooked. It was also supposed to have seafood in it. I don't know if two shrimps and a sprinkle of mussels make it a seafood risotto, highly doubt it. I also had some pasta, it was overcooked. Had some Panna Cotta, it was bland. Any Italian would be disappointed. Do yourself a favor and drive 5 more minutes...
Read moreI had such high expectations for this place but it fell very short. I came as a solo diner, not the only one in a fairly empty restaurant. The food was mediocre however the service was even worse. I had to ask 3x for water meanwhile every table around me had some and had been refilled numerous times. I received my wine and appetizer before getting a drop of water. I also noticed that every table around me had bread however I was never offered any even though I ordered 2 courses. I had to ask for bread as well. When my entree finally came I was further disappointed. The spaghetti bolognese had little to no flavor and the pasta was drenched in sauce. The best part of this experience was the stuffed figs, they were delish. Outside of that I seemed to be a bother...
