⭐ Overall: 4/10
I visited IHOP at Plaza Tempo and have mixed feelings about the experience. • Food (9/10): The food was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. Easily the highlight of the visit. • Service (9/10 for speed, 6/10 for friendliness): Staff members were efficient and attentive, though customer interaction could feel more welcoming. • Bathrooms (0/10): A major drawback. The restaurant has mixed bathrooms with no urinals for men, meaning both men and women share the same toilet facilities. For such a busy location, this is very inconvenient. • Plaza Tempo as a location (2/10): Security appeared inattentive and unprofessional. The electric car chargers were poorly managed — only one was functional, and it took over an hour for staff to activate it.
Conclusion: IHOP itself deserves high marks for food and prompt service, but Plaza Tempo as a whole seriously diminishes the experience. I recommend it only if you’re not depending on EV chargers and are willing to overlook the poor bathroom setup and lack of...
Read morePlaza Tempo is great as it has some fun eating in their Mestizo Food Court. You can sit out in the sun or more inside in the shade. Then there are also some restaurants with regular seating. My food experience is limited as I have been there 4 different times & eaten the same dish as I find it outstanding at the Kamikaze stall. If I remember the name of the dish correctly, it is chicken kung pao servered over rice or rice noodles. It comes in a bowl & is a little pricante, but with excellent seasonings. I have the same drink each time also, Jamaica with ginger. The cost around 7.000 colones. The other food stalls have some very interesting offerings. I go for lunch & on weekends after 1pm, the tables are completely full. A fun...
Read moreIt's hard to get here as traffic is pretty much impossible at all times of day. No free parking available, only underground at a steep price. I've eaten in various places here and I can safely say they are all of average quality but grossly overpriced. Nevertheless, it's a chill place once you are here and they just recently opened the "Tabernita Meraki", which is an extension of a street food restaurant in San José Downtown, that should be a treat. In all honesty, just the addition of that restaurant accounts for 2 of the 3 stars this place...
