I just added this place to the map because I think people must know it exist. It has no glamour, but their food is great, and very very inexpensive. I eat here every month when I go to cuba. And I have visiting them for 2 years now. Only 3 dollars your food. Great Cuban food, very tasty. All the food in the picture with desert included for 4, was only 20 dollars. Isn’t that amazing? 😅
UPDATE After visiting this place for the last 2 years every month I have realized is has decayed. Doesn’t look like it used to anymore. The presentation is bad, the food is not like it used to be, it lacks in quality. The staff won’t even greet the clients when they come in. It used to be clean, now there is grease stuck everywhere, and sticky tables from people’s body sweat, they won’t even bother on serving the table with actual napkins, they now use cheap toilet paper for that, and just if you ask for it. Pretty much never you find National Beer or Malta Bucanero with them, when they use to have any kind of beverages. This has become more like a worker’s dining room than a fast food local restaurant. The food was so good ! Everything was full of flavour, fresh, and nicely presented. You can tell they care about what they’re serving. We ordered a mix of things: shrimp, pork, fries, rice and beans … everything hit the spot.
The place is small but has AC which was amazing on a hot evening, and the service was friendly. We felt really comfortable. For what we got - four meals, a plate of shrimp, múltiple beers, and waters - it was super affordable. Around $70CAD total.

We had the pleasure of dining at this cozy fast food joint today and I can certainly say I am very impressed. The Ropa Vieja was fantastic; the restaurant was clean and the waitresses were a couple of super sweet young ladies who were doing their best to take good care of us. We had three beers and a couple of main courses and that cost us 14 USD. I can definitely recommend this place for a spot of lunch if you're staying around Varadero. Tips are are very much appreciated!
