I visited Novikov Limassol expecting a high-end dining experience matching the restaurant’s international reputation. Unfortunately, the food quality fell far short of expectations.
Food • Beef Tartare: Essentially just ground meat without any seasoning or sauce. It completely lacked flavor, and the pile of greens on top did nothing to enhance the dish. • Sea Bass Ceviche: Served warm and drenched in oil, with a strong fishy smell suggesting the fish had been frozen and thawed multiple times. Very disappointing for a dish that should be fresh and vibrant. • Focaccia: Far too thick and soft — more like plain bread than focaccia. The rosemary on top was completely burnt, adding an unpleasant bitterness. • Risotto: Overcooked and excessively salty. The texture was broken and mushy, with no balance or nuance of flavor. • Lamb: This was the only dish that was somewhat acceptable. The meat was cooked properly — similar to how I’d prepare it at home — but the overall quality of the ingredient was lacking. The flavor was plain and uninspired, far below what you’d expect from a restaurant of this level.
Service & Atmosphere
The service was polite and professional, and the interior is stylish and modern. The staff did their best, but unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the setting.
Overall Impression
Novikov Limassol looks the part — elegant, upscale, and well-designed — but the kitchen execution doesn’t match the brand’s reputation or the price point. Perhaps it was an off night, but at this level, consistency and product quality should never be an issue.

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere immediately gives you a sense of luxury. The interior design is elegant and refined, creating a feeling that you are in a high-end dining space, yet still comfortable and welcoming. The service was equally impressive — professional, attentive, and friendly without being intrusive. The staff clearly knows how to make guests feel valued, and the pricing felt very fair for the quality of food and experience provided. As for the food, everything we tried was truly outstanding. We started with the risotto with asparagus and truffle, which was absolutely top-notch — rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. It was one of the best risottos I’ve ever had. We also shared a pizza topped with portobello mushrooms and truffle, and once again, it was delicious, with a perfect crust and balanced flavors. The highlight of the evening for me was the goat leg, served with baby potatoes and we also ordered the grilled vegetables. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the accompaniments complemented it beautifully. We paired our dishes with a glass of wine recommended by the staff, which matched the meal perfectly and met all expectations. The pasta with pepper and cheese was amazing However, there are also bad experience with fish . We asked the waiter about the fish and she told that it’s possible to cook it without the bones it was good but In the bill it cost 120 euro but in the menu it was written 38 . So it’s really confusing that it’s not written in the menu. Also I have mentioned twice- during the reservation and during the call that it’s birthday of my husband but the staff are not attentive and they forgot about it and only when we have paid we told that it’s sad that nobody noticed and finally they brought us a cake with candle but it already destroyed surprise. Not nice. And the last sad moment - when we have left the restaurant it was group of people who definitely fought before and one guy had injury of the head and everywhere was blood around the restaurant.
