This is a nice hotel, don't get me wrong with the score I have given the Poseidonia Beach Hotel. The hotel is mainly catered towards the older couples or younger couples looking for a nice relaxing break. I would not recommend this hotel for a family holiday with children under the age of 10/11 as the hotel is situated a distance from Limassol centre and there is not much for children to do or explore in the local vicinity. That being said, if you're happy to sit by the pool, play in the sea or dine in at the hotel bar, this will be for you. The room decor is dated and a little worn but is in reasonable standards. The linen is fresh and clean although the bottom sheets don't fit the larger bed and may cause issue if you are a light sleeper. There is plenty of storage for your suitcases and clothes. Drawers and hanging rails for your shirts. Rooms come equipped with a fridge (although can't fit much in apart from a few bottles of water), small kettle, tv and a safe. My room (twin room) only had 2 UK plug sockets but 3 Cypriot sockets but trying to find adapters was impossible once in this area of Limassol. We had a sea view which I think made things a little better although our first night our rooms were mixed up and stayed in a room facing onto the main street which was not the best! We came at the start of June and the hotel was quiet in regards to the pool use and ease of access to the bar and food. I would warn you though that the hotel bar changes on a Thursday/Friday/Saturday to a Tapas menu and no other food is served, this also increases the use of the hotel bar by the local Cypriots who use the bar as a meeting point to eat drink and relax. Overall this hotel is pleasant, clean and the staff are extremely friendly, if I didn't have kids to entertain then it maybe perfect to just chill out and do nothing. It's been an experience but will not be...
Read moreRuined my husband 60th Birthday |I was really looking forward to celebrating my husband 60th birthday at this hotel — but instead, I left feeling completely let down, frustrated, and honestly, a bit heartbroken.|The hotel tries hard to look luxurious — the lobby is impressive — but it’s all fur coat and no knickers. Once you get past the front desk, it’s a very different story.|Staff were cold, disinterested, and completely lacking in hospitality. I had arranged in advance for a birthday cake to be placed in the room as a surprise on the date of his birthday — and was assured it would be there. It never appeared. No apology. No explanation. Just another broken promise.|The rooms are dated and in need of serious refurbishment. While ours was cleaned daily, the corridor outside was filthy. Someone was sick all along the hallway during our stay — I reported it to reception and was told housekeeping would “deal with it in the morning.” It was never cleaned properly. The smell lingered for days, and the stains were still there when we checked out TEN days later. Disgraceful.|Breakfast was equally disappointing — the same bland, grey offerings every single day, with no variation or effort. We raised multiple concerns with the duty manager, and not a single person followed up. Our complaints were simply ignored.|This stay was supposed to mark a special milestone in his life, but instead it left us feeling like we didn’t matter at all. No attention to detail, no warmth, and no genuine care from any member of staff.|A truly disheartening experience. I’ll never return, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone — let alone for a special occasion. At best, this is a 2-star property hiding behind a...
Read moreI’ve stayed in dozens of places in Cyprus over 30 years and have often been disappointed with the service and value for money in 4 and 5 star hotels, but not here! Right from the booking confirmation call from Chrysoulla and Maria, to finding treats and flowers in the room on the first and last nights of our stay, we received amazing service. Even the staff at breakfast went out of their way to have a drink made up from the cafe bar for me when it wasn’t even open yet. I’ve many other examples and wish I could remember all the staff names who were so friendly. The level of service at Poseidonia Beach Hotel far outshines the likes of similar and higher stared hotels in the area.
In regard to cleanliness and room furnishings, these are the best I’ve seen at a 4 star Cyprus hotel. The family room was clean, large, plenty of space and well decorated. It also cost a lot less than other hotels nearby. I was expecting a busy hotel because of this but found it peaceful instead.
Food and drink were good and menus varied. I didn’t try tapas beachbar or Lebanese in the gardens, but breakfasts were enjoyable with made to order omelettes and vast charcuterie. Beach/poolside food got the thumbs up from daughter and local family visitors too.
Didn’t try spa but had great haircut in salon.
Better food, service and value than Apollonia and Elias!
I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough and I’ll be sure to stay here again with my family on our next annual...
