Local restaurant, in a good location, offering various Mediterranean dishes. They provide a complimentary starter- salad, grilled bread, olives, so don't over-order too much food unless you are a big eater. :)
My strong belief is that everything that is on the menu needs to taste good, otherwise don't even bother adding to the menu if you are not willing to provide good stuff.
We ordered moussaka and a burger. On the menu, the burger sounded very delicious- grilled meat, halloumi cheese, bacon.. and for the price of almost 8€ you would expect something way more than a refrigerated supermarket burger which in supermarkets you can get for 2€. I get that it is Covid, fewer tourists and everyone is struggling, but if you can't keep up with the quality of your dishes then I highly recommend taking them out of your menu and not ruin your reputation.
Moussaka was delicious, you can see that this might be one of the bestsellers in the restaurant and the reviews on Google and FB are good, that makes me think that their own local cuisine is good. But the burger was the worst burger in my life!!!! Please don't offer it if you don't know what is burger! This was my first time ever complaining about the food in the restaurant and refusing to pay for it!!! I have never experienced anything like this in my life and I travel a lot. Cutlet- what was supposed to be something really good (if the price is that high), tasted uneatable. It reminded me of those cheap, frozen meats that they sell in the grocery stores, it had zero taste and tasted really bad, it was definitely not high quality meat. It was so bad that even my boyfriend- who eats all, refused to eat it. You can see my photo, thin, dry and I am not surprised if the restaurant really ordered it from some cheap store where they keep those meats frozen. This was definitely not a freshly made burger patty. What a shame!
A big plus is that the waiter didn't start to defend this uneatable burger and was kind enough to not charge for it (I left it not eaten, just took a bite of that ''meat''), but I didn't hear them apologizing for this joke and what was supposed to be a perfect lunch experience turned into a disaster and ruined the whole experience. :(
Moussaka was good, I would say 4 stars out of 5, but since I am horrified that someone would actually try to sell this burger in the RESTAURANT, then the whole experience 2 stars. Guys, even Mcdonalds burger is way better, take it out of your menu and don't ruin your reputation.
Some shy person would pay for this joke and would leave not only disappointed, hungry but also with the feeling that they paid...
Read moreTucked away on a quiet street where almost no cars pass during the week, this charming restaurant feels like a gentle escape from the city’s rush. The atmosphere embraces the spirit of the local culture — from the warm décor to the subtle music that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff are wonderfully friendly, greeting you as if you were an old friend returning. Service is attentive without being intrusive, adding to the relaxed and cozy feel. The food itself tastes almost homemade — full of freshness, balance, and care in every bite, as if prepared in a family kitchen. Prices are refreshingly fair for such quality: our meal for two adults and a child, including drinks, came to just €55. It’s the kind of place where you can linger over your meal without feeling rushed, enjoying the slow pace and genuine hospitality. Overall, this is a very pleasant spot — the kind you remember fondly and look forward to revisiting. If you value peace, authenticity, and heartfelt cooking, it’s a gem...
Read moreVery good food, very good service😊😊.
They give salad and green olives and this and that free of charge after you order your mains, so to keep you busy while your mains are being prepared.
After mains again they give you a slice of local sponge cake free of charge which is also super delicious.
We ordered roasted black olives and hummus and mushrooms for starters.
My wife ordered meatballs, me stifado for mains. Stifado super fantastic.
She had also a glass of Commandaria, and a bottle of water to share.
At the end we were very surprised bcz the bill for the 2 mains, the 3 starters and the wine and water came only to 38 Euros, which is very low for Ayia Napa, and on top of that we received a lot of free stuff, constantly struggling to find space on our table bcz the plates kept on coming.
Very good service, delicious food and very nice staff members in a great environment.
5 Star everything...
