Kıbet Steak House — Restaurant in Girne Belediyesi

Wanted to go here the year before but wasnt able to so made sure we went this year. When trying to order food, they didnt have a couple of items that were on the menu, including the tomahawk steak which was what I wanted and a couple of drink items.

They don't serve alcohol which is annoying but hey ho. The creamy mushroom sauce was literally cream and cooked mushroom. Too sweet and barely any flavour. My Dallas ribeye was decent and my partners burger was nice but had too much bun . The service was quite poor as the waiters and waitresses would just stand around talking to each other and had forgot about the caramelized onions which we had to ask twice for after being given onion rings instead and they were not even worth the wait as they eventually came when we had nearly finished.

The decor of the restaurant was cute, sort of a rustic feel to it, however, we couldn't sit inside as it was too hot with no air con and the seating outside wasn't comfortable and could be improved.

We were served a tiramisu for dessert, after they didnt have the brownie that we wanted. The tiramisu was flavourless and didnt at all taste of coffee like a traditional tiramisu should, it was just cream in between soggy cake.

Bit disappointed as the restaurant has a lot of potential. Wont be...

Over the past years, I've visited Kibet Steakhouse in Kyrenia/Girne several times, and always been happy with the restaurants servings. But NOT anymore, I'm afraid... Quality has definately gone down, and dishes are not like they used to be years ago. My friend and I both ordered the T-Bone steak, 500-550 grams according to the menu. The steaks were both ordered medium roasted. As the picture shows, both of the steaks were very thin and weight has never been even near 500 grams each; rather 300-350 grams each. The thin cut makes the steaks very hard to roast properly, and the result was quite obviuosly dry and non-juicy steaks. And; the cut of the meat has never been T-Bone; the cuts simply failed the T... So; Kibet - only 2* for a disappointing experience compared to the past...

The food couldn't possibly be any worse. The customer service was terrible they were unfriendly and the food gave me pain in my jaw for 2 hours. I asked for a medium rare steak and it wasn't even pink it may aswell have been well cooked. It was so chewy to the point where I had to grab the steak with my hand and rip pieces off it with my teeth yet even then I still couldn't chew it . Then I went to pay I asked for there manager and the manager told me that they'd been getting complaints all day and everybody complained about there steak. And even after all that they didn't say that were sorry and they took all of our money. I haven't mentioned the fact that there prices were unbelievably expensive. Will never in my life go there again I'd rather drive 4 hours just to...
