PAUL Metropolis Mall — Restaurant in Larnaca

I m 52 years old fun of Paul’s restaurants. But I wanted to mention something happened today 15/1/2025 at 14.00pm. I went there for lunch and I asked the waiter for a table for 4 people and I chose a table in a corner with 6 seats. The 1st waiter he told me ok because the restaurant were completely empty on that time. So he gave me the menu to chose until my friends will come later in the next minutes. Then another waiter came and ask me to move because the table was for 6 and I was alone. I explained him that some other friends will come later but he insisted to move in another table. He said even if you are 3 or 4 you must move because the table is for 6. I explained him again that now the restaurant is empty and if you will need later the table we can move. He was still insisting. So I left from the restaurant very disappointed and I told to him that I will mention that to your managers and I will complain for that. He just told me “I don’t care you can do anything you want “. In that time were 2 foreigners as waiters. The one was ok the other one very root. Receiving Hospitality from a Family. This is not just another Paul restaurant.. IT IS the most KIND, CARING, HOSPITABLE team of wonderful human beings that worked together as one. From the moment we walked in - my 2 year old daughter, my wife and my self - they looked after us…like families do :) After receiving our order, the waitress had a set of drawing materials for my daughter to entertain her. Soon after our meal was prepared which was warm, decorated and so tasteful, they asked if we wanted anything else. I replied “Can we have the mushroom soup?”. “Of course!” they replied. With slight delay it had arrived. It was so good that my daughter really liked it and ate it all, and if you are a parent you will understand what I mean :) . Upon asking the bill, I noticed the amount was reduced. “I think you got the wrong table, we had more dishes than this..”. “No Sir this is not a mistake, the soup is complimentar from us, please accept our apologies for the delay in preparing the soup for your daughter :)” Now, this service is in Cyprus… in Larnaca … yes that’s right … you can ask me again … Very rarely you meet this treatment in a restaurant in Cyprus. My wife and I decided to have breakfast at the Paul restaurant, Larnaca Mall. What seems to be looking like a promising choice after checking the menu, ended up with a very very bad food, bad service and simply not worth stepping again in this place. From some reason, the restaurant does not agree to change the fried eggs to an omelette or scrambled eggs which left my wife the option to order an omelette and add things to it and make it closer to what she wanted but not the same. I had to try the new portion that looks amazing on the menu, croll eggs Benedict.... The food came about 40 minutes after we ordered and only after I complained that it takes too long. No surprise here, food was cold. Omelet was okay, nothing special. The croll eggs Benedict looked like someone in the kitchen had no idea how to make it at all! The manager or stuff didn't even to bother asking if it's okay, or apologize for the 40 minutes delivery of 2 simple portions. I would say Do NOT go! But thats...
