Verde Metropolis Mall larnaca — Restaurant in Larnaca

When I entered Verde I asked the barrista if they do cold mocha and he said yes. However when the drink came apart from being very watery and tasteless it had no taste of coffee at all. I called a waitress and she said to me that's how we do our cold mocha our particular recipe is with just chocolate and I replied well that's misleading you are not giving me what i ordered a chocolate drink and a mocha are two different things. She called a superior who came and suddenly shifted the story and said there was in fact a shot of espresso with the chocolate which she herself added but this was an obvious lie. I checked their menu and indeed there was no cold mocha there only a hot one. She even demanded 50 cents to add a second shot of espresso if one was not enough as if there was a first one.

How dumb they can be they lost my custom I will never go there again, I don't care for the €5 the drink cost but because of the disrespectful behaviour, for insulting my intelligence. That particular staff member is mean, dishonest and disrespectful but she doesn't care since it is the owner, her employer that takes the damage through loss of business and getting a bad name.

I inform them that when I got a (real) mocha at another place and I complained it was very bland they promptly changed it for a proper tasting one without charging me...

We arrived around 10:30am, and could see loads of free tables inside and outside. There was some confusion with the couple in front of us who seemed to be confused by what they are being told. They then told us "Good luck" and they had to wait outside the store for their "table". We then asked to be seated and seated outside and were told there is no availability. When we entered the store, we saw loads of free tables outside and asked again, but were told "No, you cannot sit there yet because they are not open because we haven't placed the cushions there yet". I mean, what typical Cyprus lack of thinking and stupidity. There were two tables already dining outside and about 10 tables free. How about you pick up two cushions from inside, or we can do it ourselves and you put them on two chairs outside? It's really not complicated.

Forget whether the food was good or not, experiences like this just ruin the reputation of the restaurant and I probably won't return to a little dining store in Larnaca Mall that think they are running a world class restaurant in...

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Verde on Sunday, November 17th, between 16:40 and 17:30. The service was absolutely awful. We placed an order for five coffees and waited for 40 minutes without any sign of progress. Meanwhile, several tables that arrived well after us were being served promptly.

When I approached the manager to ask about the delay, I was shocked by the dismissive response: “It’s busy, you can leave if you like.” This attitude was appalling. Despite waiting an additional 10 minutes (50 minutes in total), we noticed another table that had been there for just 15 minutes being served. That was the final straw, and we decided to leave.

I spoke to the manager once more before leaving, and his only excuse was that he had “pushed our order to get prepared.” Clearly, this wasn’t the case. The lack of organization, accountability, and basic courtesy made this experience unacceptable.
