Vokolida — Restaurant in Larnaca

In my opinion, an authentic cypriot souvlaki experience. Great souvlaki, phenomenal sheftalia (one of the besf Ive had as a cypriot) and great prices.

I had a talk with the lady that has had the place for 40 years. She said that she makes the sheftalia with love, thats why they sell a ton a day on takeaway. Upon talking a bit more she specified that instead of making the sheftalia fatter, they make it thinner and longer. It makes sense that it tastes better since the surface area browned by the coals is larger.

Anyway I loved it. Cant wait to eat...

Best kebab place for taste. The kebab might be smaller than other places but it's the quality of the meat and the actual taste that makes all the difference. Yes its slightly more expensive than other places, but the question is do you want quality or do you want volume. Some say its too noisy as its on the main road, I say easy access. You will always find different preferences in people, I have been to so so many kebab shops in Larnaca and always ask for juicy (sozouma)but they always overcook the meat. Vokolida Kebabs has amazing kebabs , has what is expected of a kebab restaurant along with home made specialities, hand made loukanika and pastourma, a little spicy, not enough for me lol all charcoaled cooked. Indoor and outdoor seating and good service. My only problem is, he has the spurs memorabilia, not alot , but enough for me lol but never the less, excellent kebas , good quality meat 👍 enough to warrant two or more visits...
