We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Fresh House Bar and Restaurant in Pernera and let me just say – WOW. This place deserves all the praise and more! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth, charm, and the delicious aroma of food that promised greatness – and delivered in every possible way.

We sampled a variety of dishes, and each one was a masterpiece in its own right:

🍛 Indian Chicken Curry – Hands down one of the best curries we've had outside of India! Rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced with just the right level of heat. The chicken was tender, juicy, and soaked in layers of deep, aromatic flavor. It was served with fluffy rice that complemented it beautifully.

🥩 Jumbo Pork Chop – This dish was an absolute showstopper. Cooked to perfection with a gorgeous sear on the outside and moist, succulent meat inside. The portion was generous (they meant jumbo!) and came with tasty sides that elevated the whole plate. It was hearty, satisfying, and unforgettable.

🍢 Chicken Kebab with Jacket Potato – A brilliant combination of Mediterranean comfort and fresh, grilled excellence. The kebab was juicy and flavorful, charred just right, and paired perfectly with a crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside jacket potato. Simple, yes – but executed flawlessly.

🍝 Linguini with Prawns (2 ways) – These dishes were a seafood lover’s dream. One version came with prawns, onions, and avocado – a surprisingly perfect trio that added sweetness, creaminess, and texture to the delicate linguini. The second was a more classic take: just prawns, but bursting with garlic, fresh herbs, and that briny ocean flavor you crave on a summer night. Both were divine – light yet indulgent.

🌟 The staff were incredibly attentive, the ambiance was cozy yet modern, and you can tell they put genuine love into both the food and the experience. Whether you're after something traditional, something exotic, or a little bit of both – Fresh House has it all.

⭐ 5/5 – A Hidden Gem in Pernera! Fresh House truly lives up to its name! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The outdoor seating is perfect for a relaxed dinner, and the staff made us feel like family.

🍽️ The food was absolutely delicious and clearly made with fresh ingredients. I had a perfectly seasoned grilled chicken dish accompanied by crisp vegetables and a light, refreshing salad drizzled with balsamic glaze. The flavors were well-balanced and portion sizes generous. The baked potato with tzatziki on the side was a fantastic touch—comforting and flavorful.

🥗 Every plate looked like it was served with care, and everything we tried had that homemade touch that makes a big difference. The menu offers a nice mix of Mediterranean and international options at very fair prices.

We looked at the reviews and decided to give the restaurant a visit for our 17th Wedding Anniversary. Wish we didn't !! Firstly, we witnessed the waiter spill a drink over another customer sitting next to us, who then unbelievably then asked her to pay the full bill. Then our food arrived, my wife's chicken in a JD sauce was awful, over cooked, dry, difficult to cut, she left most of it. I had the mixed grill. The sausage was tasteless and difficult to cut, the pork chop was all fat and bone with no meat, and the lamb chop had a tiny amount of meat on it. We we were not asked during the 'meal' if everything was okay, only when we had the bill put on our table. When I complained, the waiter wouldn't listen, tried to give excuses, and made out it was all my fault. We had to pay the full bill with no apology.
