Phoenix Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Paralimni

Stopped off here for a few Drinks towards the end of our holiday. 2 for 1 on Cocktails ranging from £5 to £7. And a good selection of other Beers and Spirits. Service was quick and the lady was very friendly. My Partner sampled a few of the Cocktails and said they were really good. I had 2 glasses of Gin with 1 can of mixer. At £11.50 . £5 for each glass of Gin and £1.50 for can of Mixer. Great price. 5 stars for day 1. On returning the next day we ordered a similar round of drinks as before. However this time a different lady charged me £14 for my 2 Gins and 1 can of mixer. Showing £7 twice for spirit and mixer. So don't quite understand how you can be charged 2 completely different ways for the same drinks. Also the second night I chose the Blood Orange Whitley Neill which tasted vile and nothing like it normally would. Couldn't make out if it had gone off in the heat or if it was due to the dried fruit she'd added...

What a waste. What a WAIT.

We were sat down and waited to order. Finally the lady took our drinks order and omg. I could of got a flight back home and returned and would still be waiting for our drinks to arrive. Appalling service, thirsty in the roasty toasty heat and our tongues were practically hanging our like rabid dogs. We waited and waited for our drinks to arrive and what was the point. We then waited like an hour for breakfast. Clearly the owner puts profit over service and doesn't want to employ extra staff to manage the waiting time. Also, come on...manage expectations...tell people when they walk in hi guys, just to let you know its a long wait for food and drinks. Word of mouth is key to thrive. I will monitor review progress to determine whether I return in future.

I have got to say, we have been to Pernera, Cyrus many, many times and found that the Phoenix bar does the best of the best English breakfasts. Try their evening meals too... the Black and white tower burger is magnificent, succulent beef wirh blue and white cheese, amazing!! Jumbo fish and chips does not disaapoint. My husband really enjoyed his meal. Absolutlety amazing. All of the staff are wonderful, very welcoming, cheerful, always have a smile. The service is fab. An amazing place to eat and drink. We most definatley will be going back!!
