Our last night of holiday honestly couldnāt have been better ā this place was just perfect.
We chose it because the pictures looked authentic and the food looked really tasty, and wow⦠they were right. The second we walked in around 9 PM and saw the place full of locals, we knew weād found something special.
The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. The service was spot on ā not rushed, not fake, just genuinely nice people who care.
We started with the homemade tzatziki and olives, and oh my god, that tzatziki⦠so creamy, fresh, full of flavor. Easily some of the best Iāve ever had. And with the house white wine? Just perfect.
For mains, we went with the stuffed calamari, the plain calamari, and the lamb chops. And let me tell you, the stuffed calamari⦠wow. Perfectly grilled and stuffed with feta and parsley ā Iāve honestly never tasted anything like it before. Definitely the star of the night. The plain calamari was also super fresh and tender, and the lamb chops had this amazing seasoning that made them so flavorful. Everything came with a salad and homemade fries that were ridiculously good ā crispy outside, soft inside. We cleared every plate.
We couldnāt say no to dessert, and Iām glad we didnāt. Everything tasted homemade and was the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing meal.
And the best part? After dinner, the chef came out to chat with us. He told us a bit about his family and the history of the restaurant, and you could really feel how much pride and love goes into the food.
If youāre in Protaras, you HAVE to try this place. The food is insanely tasty, the service is warm and genuine, and the whole place just feels authentic. Itās the kind of spot that makes you wish you found it earlier...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe worst experience we ever had in a restaurant. We have been demanded (by shutting down the porchdoar in front of us), and telling we (my infant) were to noissy. Wel let me tell you, if you have a 1 year old child there will be some noise but she wasn't shouting the place, no way! And if you don't want children in youre place just say in front, then we walk further and dont offer a childseat. But no the theatre began after we finished the main. I now it can be anooing in a crowded place and when it is bussy, but in a almost empty place, come on! The food was ok but not special in any way. Moussaka was to salt and there was not enough bread with the dips. The side dishes (fries and grilled veggies) was ok. Never to Limani for us again with this additude bye bye with the 5...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis family restaurant located out of the tourist hubs is a gem. If you want delicious, local soulful Cypriot food you have to give it a try! We had lunch and it was amazing. I had fried mushrooms with pork skewers and the guys shared a meat mezze( with 3 appetizers, pork, chicken ,2 types of sausage, fried halloumi, mushrooms ,a huge platter of fries and a hearty salad). The owner and his witty daughter doted upon us and were very friendly and personable. In addition we found the price to be very fair for such a feast. If you are tired of the tourist trap restaurants with sticky menus and unhappy, entitled service, where you need to beg to get a seat , we suggest going a bit out of your way and trying this family restaurant. It was totally worth it for us and we...
