Laxia Restaurant - Venue — Restaurant in Paralimni

I was hired by this Mihalis to work as a waiter. He put me in 1 small room with 1 more guy where there was no hot water. I've worked 9 days straight for 11-12-14hrs, no free day, no regular working time. He speaks very little English and he is barbaric. He made me leave my family with one offer for normal work but everything was a lie. I peel potatoes, cutting peppers, helping him with some bedroom furniture.... that was not the problem i was there to work no matter what but the case is like this: he has tavern part and salon part. He made me rearrange every f*in chair and table in his salon 3 times for 9 days (there are more than 3 000-thousands chairs and tables for them) all by myself! First time i say ok- I am young i and i though if this is one time in month i will handle it even if he knows that I'm professional waiter with 5 years of experience in restaurants with respect and different nationality customers. I speak Russian too but he is not hiring people for their professional qualities but as a animals on the field. He gave me no contract for these 9 days not even mention it. At the 3rd time when he say take out all the chairs and tables to clean and put them back again only by myself one by one i said to him: "Boss i will do it but not one by one because my shoulders start to hurt very much from these hundreds actions i can move them for 10-15 at once for more productive and not so exhausting way." He screamed at me: "If you don't like pack your stuff and go back to your country!" and i said to him "Sorry but i'm not a donkey! I'm professional waiter!"-who can make file the fish or decant the wine and make feel every customer as a special one like he is. He doesn't care he wants slaves not workers! For 9 days and i count it like 110 hours he paid me 150 euro and throw me on the street like a dog. But I'm a man with respect of myself and i left with no regret in my heart... i found job at the same day and place to eat and sleep so I'm grateful that this nightmare was only for 9 days. I WARN YOU GUYS AND GIRLS BE CAREFUL! They told me there is no chance to make anything like give a signal to some institution about him because his family is everywhere-police, departments and so on... So the only thing i can do to protect every future workers there is to give you this information and you can decide what to do! Ordered two mezes for me and my girlfriend, price was 19.50 pp. starters where very very nice, fresh salad, sausages, ham, halloumi, very nice eggs with vegetables. fried potatos and pourgouri was also very good. main meet-based dishes (liver, liver with eggs, pork steak, souvlaki, sheftalia) could not be consumed, they were either overcooked, cooked again, not fresh, dry or very oily and greasy.

If you are anywhere in Cyprus , travel to this restaurant, it will not be beaten. Service 100%. I asked on our first visit if they had pastichio dish, they didn’t have it on the menu, but the next day they had made some just for me! How can you beat that? Anything you order is very very tasty.
