I rented a bike for four days and booked 3 guided tours with Omar.... and it was worth every cent. The bike was in in a very good condition and Omar adjusted it perfectly for me. The first tour was about 90km approx. 325m elevation in the northern part of Cyprus (Tour de Famagusta) including a little snack and coffee in the morning transfer to the border by car a coffee / refreshing stop somewhere on the track and some superb food in an restaurant in at the end of the tour in Famagusta. It was really a great experiance. Omar at every time had control about the group ( we wre 3 paricipants... hello to Steven and Ilya it as great shariing this with you guys... :-) ) navigating us save and with farsightedness when we passed through cities. The 2nd trip was the tour de cafe (60km) around Paralimni and Ayia Napa including a coffee stop. Last trip was about 100km to Larnaca including a coffee stop in Larnaca and an other extensive breakfast stop. One thing to mention.. the tours are started early in the morning around 6:30am just to avoid the high temperatures during the daytime. In my opinion Omar is a very professional and experienced tour guide who likes to share his passion for cycling with his customers. It was great fun riding with him and I will definitly do some tours when I´m back in Cyprus. So Omar ... be prepared... ;-) either in april or october or may be in april and october... anyway.. c u next year!!!
Another thing to mention... if your legs are tired after the tour... I can also highly recommend the helping hands of Marios Kyriakides MK physiotherapy and sport rehabilitation centre in Ayia Napa ... great treatment for...

Although, it may not be for you if you need "just bike", it seems targeting on "pro" cyclists. Cheapest mountain bike rental is 28 eur per day and if you want to rent it for 1 day, you will need to return it at 17:30. For comparison: my next bike rental in Ayia Napa was only 16eur for FOUR days, and I could return the bike on 5th day morning.
Another thing I didn't like was an absence of lock cables. You are not allowed to chain a bike, thus having to take a bike with...
Read moreCompared with other rental places the bikes they rent are almost new, but they lack professional care. During the 50 kilometres hike the chain dropped 3 times, while at home throughout the whole season (1.5 thousand km) it never happened even once. Helmets and safety are very important but for the price they charge it would be cheaper to buy a new one from the store. Also the rental time is awkwardly counted, the minimum time you can rent a bike is 3 days, but if you rent a bike for example on Monday 3 PM, you must bring it back until Wednesday 5 PM., so it happens that you pay for 3 days, but you can use it only 2 days and a half. To sum up, bikes are not bad, quite new, but they lack basic care, so I wouldn't call them...
