Papantoniou Bakeries — Restaurant in Peyia

First and foremost, I would like to emphasize that I originally really liked the bakery and thus gave it five stars (my first review is underneath). However, I now need to update my review due to an incident that occurred.

Unfortunately, I witnessed a staff member (presumably the manager) physically harassing and putting a friend of mine in an extremely uncomfortable situation. Clearly, the staff member assumed that my friend was attempting to steal something solely based on his appearance (he's from Bangladesh, a nice person). It is absolutely unacceptable to treat people in such an unpleasant manner based on their looks. I am shocked and disappointed by the behavior of the employee.

It is regrettable that this negative experience has significantly influenced my impression of the bakery. As a customer, I expect respect and friendliness regardless of my outward appearance. The incident has shown me that this is evidently not the case at the bakery.

I sincerely hope that the bakery becomes aware of this incident and takes appropriate measures to ensure that such a situation does not repeat itself. It is crucial for customers to feel safe and respected in a business environment.

I couldn’t care how nice the food in this shop is, I have never experienced such rude ignorant staff in my life, the girl behind the coffee bar had a serious attitude problem, and the women behind the counter taking payments, was even worse than the other girl, she snatched the note out of my fiends hand, and when we payed by card she just pointed at the card machine, she managed to do all this without saying a word, rude, rude ,rude ! I’m guessing it’s hard to find staff in Cyprus, because, who ever employs these two delightful pair, must want their bloody head read!! I will never...

I recently visited this charming bakery and was blown away by the authentic flavors and quality of their baked goods. The selection is impressive, with a wide variety of traditional breads and an assortment of decadent pastries like baklava and galaktoboureko. Everything is made with care and attention to detail using high-quality ingredients.

If you appreciate exceptional baked goods, this bakery is a must-visit. It's a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it can get. I highly recommend...
