Not really the best place to try cyprus food and for sure it’s not the best place to try Meze. Usually portions of Meze are huge at Cyprus and the meat should be very tasty, but at this place food was nothing special at all! As to portion - rather poor. Meat was oily and not as good as usually in taverns.
As too staff: it’s been very IMPOLITE to give all the guests the compliment after they finish their meal and NOT TO GIVE the compliment for our table.
Everything was just ok, but it’s not the best place if you want to try Cypriot food for the first time.
p.s. My answer to the dearest representative of this tavern: First of all, we ordered 2 Meze for 3 people + 1 main dish (grilled octopus) for me, personally (I did not eat meat at all). So, basically as YOU wrote 2 Meze should be enough for 3 people (as we ordered). But portions at your tavern do not go to any comparison with portions in the rest of the taverns in Cyprus that we have visited during 9 months of our staying here. As to quality of the prepared food - I just want to say that I didn't want to offend you or your tavern, it's just critics and as usually good restaurants\taverns do: they investigate comments and critics and then they're trying to improve their services. My advise for you - not to argue with the clients but trying to be polite and do your job as good as you can. + If you know for example Mezostrati tavern at Nicosia - visit them, try their Meze and then try to compare it with Meze that you proposed to your guests. As to your compliment. Just no comment here. It's a shame to treat all the...
Read moreCant praise this place enough. By far the best retaurant we have eaten in in the area. The food was amazing, I had lamb kleftico which literally fell off the bone and melted in your mouth! Hubby had the enormous mixed grill which he said was amazing and sister in law the chicken kebab. Managed to stretch the waistband to the chocolate bomb pudding(just omg🥰🥰🥰) The service was attentive and friendly but also very professional. So welcome after our previous nights experience at a different place Nice little touches with the complimentary bread and dips at the start and the tasty shots at the end. Thank you to all the staff, keep doing a great...
Read moreWe visited from Coral Bay. The restaurant was smaller than we imagined and seemed to be all on its own, so rather different to the Coral Bay strip! We visited on a Friday night for the traditional Greek night. The dancing, plate smashing and entertainment was fun, the food was delicious (the best we've had so far) and the staff were very hard-working and friendly. The service was excellent too. The Greek night is well worth a visit. I assume its quieter on other nights. If you fancy suckling pig on the menu, pre-ordering that...
