This place is a gem in an area (Pissouri village and Pissouri Bay) of many good restaurants. You get a glass of sparkling white wine to see you through until someone takes a drink or food order, then you get some lovely bread with pots of olive oil and sweet herbed butter - and if that isn’t already a great start you also get a small tall glass of delicious soup (hot or cold, depending on the season). Yesterday’s traditional trachanas-based soup was one of the most delicious soups I’ve ever had (and I eat and make lots of delicious soup).The rib-eye steak and veal loin chops were terrific, as were the veg and potato dauphinoise. We talked to Michael about what we should eat, and how it should be cooked, and with what sauce. It’s such a pleasure (and privilege) to leave the decisions about a special meal in honest and capable hands. It's warm and inviting in the colder months, and because there weren’t others waiting to occupy our table we stayed for 2 hours savouring our food and wine and conversation. I’d have to travel for hours and spend 3x the price to get a meal like this in Canada. And I’d have to dress up and make a reservation weeks ahead. Here you can come as you are and feel welcome, have lovely food and delicious drinks, and not feel like you’ve dressed up too much or not dressed properly. Steak House by Michael in Pissouri is hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. Everything was a solid 5/5 🌟- from the incredibly friendly, helpful service to the warm and inviting atmosphere, and most importantly, the food, which was top of the top.

🥩We ordered two Tomahawk steaks, and they were cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Alongside, we enjoyed a fresh and delicious goat cheese salad🫜, tagliatelle pasta with beef🍝, sautéed mushrooms, grilled vegetables, and potatoes on the side. Every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with care.

As a lovely touch, they offered each guest a complimentary glass of champagne wine 🥂and a shot-sized veggie soup to start — a gesture that made the experience even more special.✨

The menu offers a great variety, with options like prawn dishes, gnocchi, and more, so there’s truly something for everyone.💰Despite the high quality of food and service, the prices are very reasonable, which makes the experience even better.

Our meal to Michael's Steakhouse started before we even arrived. I called the evening before to reserve a table, to which there was no answer. Thinking they must be busy, I thought I would try later. To my surprise, and amazement, later Michael phoned me back. I answered the unknown number and booked the best steak meal ever. FACT. We arrived 50 minutes early and was greeted by Michael, himself. A very warm welcome to a lovely restaurant. I don't want to spoil the surprise for you if you are thinking or are going here. The experience, service and quality are excellent. We have been here for 3 weeks, on our first visit to Pissouri Village, we said to the taxi driver. What do you think is best? Hide Away or Steakhouse. He said Hide Away and that is where we went. If he had said Steakhouse, we may well have had to go here each day, as the food here is that good.
