Miki's Tavern & Fish Restaurant — Restaurant in Polis Chrysochous

Had a beer in here early Monday afternoon, so it was very quite, had nice gentle Cypriot music in the background. So decided to go back and have a evening meal. Although, they specialise in seafood, we all had pasta. Nothing exciting, just Ravioli and Spaghetti Bolognese. One of us had the Spaghetti with cheese and it really was just a plate of spaghetti with parmesan cheese to sprinkle over it !!! We had ask for some meatless tomato sauce. Their Garden Salad was nice and fresh, onions, tomatoes, cucumber and feta cheese. We opted for a more expensive bottle of white Cypriot wine, hoping it would be nice, but sadly not, it really had a Ouzo or chemical after taste. The location of this restaurant is perfect and that is the only positive thing I have to say. We have used the restaurant four times now. On the first occasion the food was exceptionally good so we decided to return only to be slightly disappointed. However we decided to take our guests there last night as the location was prefect to listen to the entertainment in the Square. I was embarrassed by the food and service. My friend ordered the Chef's special fish dish which she said was inedible. I ordered the T-bone steak (medium rare) and was presented with a tasteless piece of rubber. We complained to our waiter who did not even acknowledge our complaint. We asked for the bill and once again said how disappointed we were with the very poor quality of the food. He shrugged and walked away. I will never use this restaurant again....

From where do i even begin to describe this horrible experience we have had at this place?! They brought some bread with butter and I had randomly checked the due date and the butter was expired by 1 month! We waited for our order 50’ and the one dish never made an appearance. In the one plate we have ordered there was hair on the french fries and when we asked for a new one they took the plate and brought the exact same one in the same condition with ketchup all over it.
