The food arrived was mediocre tarama stank is 1 star and below 👇. And for dessert we was ask to live the restaurant at 11:00 because the staff was waiting for us to go home shame on them. Read moreWe had a fantastic visit to the Herb Garden in Polis today. You can wander through the beautiful wild herb gardens where everything is clearly labelled with what it is and how it’s used. The scent from the mint, jasmine, basil, thyme and rosemary was absolutely intoxicating.
We stayed for lunch at the on-site restaurant which makes full use of the herbs grown there. I had the pork souvlaki, perfectly cooked and served with fried potatoes, chargrilled veg and a fresh herb dip. Odile had the falafel with a beetroot and walnut salad and her own herb dip, all delicious. We also shared a small village salad and a big bottle of Keo while sitting overlooking the gardens. It was a perfect, peaceful setting.
There’s plenty of easy parking and it’s simple to find. A lovely spot to relax, eat well, and soak up the smells and sights of Cyprus. Highly...
Read moreThis is a very attractive restaurant with well spaced tables and friendly staff. It is backed by a beautiful herb garden,(hence the name). We have only visited once, mid afternoon weekday, there was only three customers including ourselves. From the time our order was taken we had to wait forty minutes for the food to arrive. The special burger in pitta bread was dry and burnt in places, the chips likewise dry and unpleasant. The herb garden salad with salmon had a beautiful and large portion of salmon, but very little salad indeed. It's hard to judge atmosphere considering it was virtually empty, but I can imagine, when busy, it would be very pleasant. As to cost, it was not outrageous but neither was it value for money considering the above. Hopefully we caught them on a bad day and others have...
