Uncle Sam's — Restaurant in undefined

Trying to be ‘American’ but not very successful. We came here for lunch on a weekday and it took them one full hour to get our food to the table. We ordered a Philly Cheesesteak and Caesar salad. The dressing on the ‘salad’ was just not right, seemed like they just poured mayo on the salad and dumped bland dry chicken on top. What was worse was since the lettuce was not fresh it looked nasty. They refused to give me a refund for the bland and rotten salad. The Philly Cheesesteak was like a Turkish/Arabic Wrap. It had nothing to do with a real Philly cheesesteak. The owner walked up to our table and said he lived in the states. He basically said he knows what American food should taste like. His attitude was truly to show the customer that his restaurant is right and the customer is wrong. We are actually from Chicago and we said this is not an acceptable way to serve Chicken Caesar salad or the ‘wrap’. He said No Refunds. We paid for everything and gave it to the stray dogs outside. Down the pan goes Uncle Sam! Apparently its all due to COVID 19. I ordered Salmon, the waiter returned about 10 minutes later to tell me that the Salmon was unavailable due to COVID 19 pandemic. Appears salmon can catch it too but odd as the supermarkets have it in abundance. OK, how about fish and chips, 'Yes we have that' said our waiter only to return after another ten minutes to say they had no fish and chips because of COVID 19. I gave up and said I would just have my starter which was King Prawns in some sort of nondescript sauce served on a bed of, wait for it, fried onions. (greasy and quite horrible) I ordered a Cappy Seftali (Peach)fruit juice which the waiter said they had. A few minutes later another waiter appeared with an iced tea which I hadn't ordered. 'I ordered Peach juice.' I said 'Sorry no Peach Juice' COVID 19? I somewhat sarcastically replied. ' Problem Turkey' said the waiter. Problem poor stock control and management I think. Waiters are always attentive and friendly, Pizza's usually quite good but standards have really gone...

Food was good, but the staff really ruined our experience.

When we ordered, the waitress stopped to turn around and tend to another table instead of focus on taking our orders.

We had a table directly under an air conditioner that was running full force on a chilly evening.

We were really nice about it and asked them politely to turn it down. They adjusted some settings that made no difference. All four of us sat there and froze to the point that we could not eat our food.

We asked if there was anything else they could do and they offered us a blanket. What?! So this has been a common enough complaint that you felt it was necessary to have blankets ready? Just fix the air conditioners and shut the front door so they don't have to run full force day and night.

The staff were rude inattentive and just the worst kind of people. What kind of waitress simply walks away and says no to a customers face?!

I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants a full restaurant experience.

If all you care about is the food, then by all means stuff...
