When your local place to eat is Zygi you can tire of the standard diet of fish, however delicious it is. So, I was pleased to find this taverna, that I’d never noticed before, up an unassuming side street. The terrace is nothing to write home about, it’s situated opposite a housing estate, but don’t let that put you off, it’s a nice place to sit and the food is delicious. Simple grill menu with some traditional dishes. My pork souvlaki was tender and perfectly cooked with just a hint of the taste of the grill, unlike most places on the island that overcook it. Hospitality was excellent. Food really tasty.
We ordered mixed kebabs and calamari. The meat was soft and thankfully, the calamari was soft. Hand cut chips are always a winner.
Decent prices too.

Trouble was the portion was enormous so had to have a doggy bag to bring home for lunch tomorrow. So many extras came as standard from Tahini to salad to couscous to tzatziki and melon ro finish.
